Hey Rochelle, if I could put in a pitch for keeping on with remedies--
I would see this as *either* something "peeking thru" from another
"layer" (if one believes in layers :-) ), or as a symptom that
remains because the prior one(s) were not quite sufficient--either due
to "not quite right" remedy, or potency. Taking it as now a "one-sided
case", why not do what Hahnemann directed for them--choose the "best
suited" (er, that would mean "make your best guess") and see what comes
of it?

Hello Rochelle,

This is my second attempt at a response – there seems to be a problem
in sending – so please excuse me if this is a repeat.

I don't have my notes with me – so can't be absolutely sure – but I
believe the cell salt was Calc Phos – and I just looked it up and it
has `itching as if nettles' – and `itching with no eruption'.

The oils used were always high in Vitamin E – so you might even
suggest using a capsule of Vit E

In the earlier description – you mentioned itching, flaking, no
blood, no discharge, no smell. With that description our cases were
very similar. Adding the wax in the latest email – that could
indicate it is in a different direction – or it could simply be a
reaction to the cortisone.

Please read your Aveeno label. The last label I read from their
product line had a list of petroleum products and byproducts that
extended for an inch of space – with very small type. In general,
the petroleum products are going to coat the area – which may give
some temporary relief – but might not give much assistance in the
healing process. Of course, you may be using a product with
completely different ingredients.

tried oil, chamomile and Verbascum. I could still see a lot of wax in
her ear despite her saying she used Verbascum oil daily. I gave her
as sample of Aveeno (oatmilk) lotion for sensitive and dry skin to
try. I agree that if she can keep it moisturised it should really
help. Any chance you can remember which cell salt helped the problem
and I can research into it?

I also forgot to say... I once had something like this and it was
only one side but it was from my shampoo. For whatever reason it only
effected one side...
