My, you are having a fun holiday!!
Not sure a book that doesn't help you find a good remedy is much use,
though. I don't know that one but it must be small if it's smaller
than Phatak.
Heat>heat seems quite common for stings etc. someone asked me about a
remedy for spider fish bites with that modality and i was interested
to see tarentula come up.
Hope the rest of your trip proves less educational and more enjoyable.

Hi Theresa,
The hot water actually took down the swelling and the itching. The blisters are bright red, and full of water, but I see the older ones being absorbed, so I am not going to do anything.
There really should be a good rep and MM for this type of travel.
Would you believe I got a sun burn through my linen t-shirt today.
I was with the Mong people in the mountains and there was a lot of suffering in my host family. I didn't bring my remedies and really regretted it. The book would have helped no doubt. J Sherr said that a homeopath should never be without a remedy kit. I know they would have accepted help so I regretted it.
Best,
Ellen

Dear Michel,
I just got home. I was using the Synoptic key. That's why I was having trouble. I will try to get the GA. Thanks for the hint.
Best,
Ellen

if it ever happens again (and hope not), you might think of some
of the poison ivy remedes which have similar description, especially
the amel by hot water. i am all too familiar with that. rhus tox or rhus v
are useful to think of with those blisters, itching, amel hot water.

I don't know about rep and mat med but i have found Colin Lessell's World Travellers Manual of Homeopathy very informative generally and he comes up with fairly specific remedies( quite a few that you wouldn't have in a first aid kit!). That's 335 pages and doesn't miss much out; in fact reading it is enough to put you off travel. Alison Pittndrigh wrote a tiny, tiny first aid book for her students in Africa that includes some of the more exotic ailments. Probably no better than what you could work out for yourself but a good 'panic-aid' I imagine. That is sold through ColoursforAfrica.I gave one to a back-packing child and have recommended it to others.
