I had a very similar scenario but with a different remedy. Initially the baby and then as it turns out, the mom, were both discharging worms. This accounted for the mucus but not so much the colour. I was all the time wondering what was happening and trying to find some rhyme or reason. It finally happend another time not in correlation to dosing and we traced it to blueberries! Seems the time of year made a difference since the mom had not eaten blueberries out of season.
But from time to time, she will still occasionally see the mucous come back and will find worms upon closer examination.
