No, I am not quite as arrogant as that:-)

I just mean that most homeopaths do not think that there is much
danger of it happening to the not-so-experienced homeopath in spite of
that knowledge. I think there is. That is the difference (concerning
the aspect you mentioned)

I quite agree with you, and really I think that most homeopaths *do*
agree.
As others have written here before, the computers cannot do the
casetaking or case analysis or rubric choices or materia medica
comparisons; what they *can* do--which is useful! even tho limited--is
to make the "donkey work" (pulling rubrics and tallying the "score"]
very much quicker and easier.

In making the donkey work quicker, there's more time left for thinking,
researching, etc.--that's all!

I know that when I got my program (while still in school), we were
given lots of warning about just those issues, and also the same issues
are made very clear in the program training materials.

Still tho, they *do* give this marvelous sense of "power" that can be
pretty heady at first!
But results (or lack of) quickly bring one back to earth.

This is the point!

I see the dangers to the not-so-experienced, and even to the
not-**very** experienced **exactly there**!

The other things you have written about apply to repping generally,
not just to using the software.
