? You'd use "pregnancy" in place of "menses"?

I wouldn't make that substitution. In women the sense of smell is weakest just before menses and often during: then it becomes heightened again during the rest of the cycle. If the sense of smell is heightened during menses that would be unusual to me. Pregnancy, in my mind, is the opposite of menstrual bleeding.

I'd look for a more general rubric (Nose, smell, acute; or Nose, smell, acute, everything smells too strong). Perhaps someone with a rep program can put in the phrase and see if the quote comes up in any provings (ferrum seems to pop up in my mind, but don't go on that alone!)

i agree that i wouldn't substitute the pregnancy state for menses
