Hi Fran,

...... Hahnemann called it a "maintaining cause" :-)
Candida always has poor diet as an aspect of its occurrence.
I submit that the diet I wrote of in another email, is appropriate to
use while using good homeopathy for cure IMO, and I would not use
diet alone. Systemic candida, as some people get, can be very serious
and skew the health so badly that it really needs all the help it can
get to recover.

I do not believe in "normal diet" as the fastest way to heal from the
ravages of a poor one.
With or without homeopathy.
I've seen time and time again that a diet *designed* to assist
healing - does just that:-)

Why put up with the nasty symptoms of candida, just to be able to eat
sugar during treatment for it?
It's a poor trade IMO :-)

Namaste,
Irene

I'm with you on this, Fran! I'd like to see folks eating better, but this ain't it, in my book. But the important thing to remember about yeast is that it's a native inhabitant that gets very opportunistic when given a chance, and any insult to the body can do that. Yeast is a big symptom of dysfunction, nothing else, and will fall into line when the body is righted.

It's the old allopathic story here: control the bugs and you'll be cured - not!

I will have to agree with Irene on this, as my husband had Legionnaire's and
almost died from several funguses in the lungs. We treated it naturally
with antifungals, but had a extremely restrictive diet that he was on for a
year. NOTHING that fed (or supported fungal growth) was included in the
diet. This included any processed grains, sugars, vinegars (which excludes
mayonnaise) anything with yeast in it.

I had to get REALLY really creative with the menu during this year. In
order to pack a lunch for him, if he needed a sandwich, I made Waffles, with
grinding the wheat myself and using baking powder (not yeast)....
