Dear Roger
Sorry, it is Aversion to onions!!
I don;t know what I would give to mum as I have not taken her case and I have not been asked too. It was Mum who said that she didn't want to grow older and the child agreed.
The rest I agree. I am going to wait 2 months to see what the Thuja 200 does and I may go up on it.

Rochelle,
When a kid doesn't want to grow up, one has to wonder why. Are there fusional issues with the mom (in which case, Alumina or an aluminum salt might be indicated)? Is she afraid of her sexuality? Of adulthood and responsibility? Of the future of the planet?
If she comes from a vegetarian family but doesn't eat fruit or veggies or eggs, what does she eat? Why these food choices (or food rejections)? I find it difficult to use "desires sugar" as a rubric, because unless the desire is really extreme, most folks in the U.S. crave sweets. How can we not, given that sugar is in virtually all processed foods sold here!
Peace,
Dale

I think I remember reading/hearing that the Lacticum group has issues
associated with not growing up. It was something around Mag Lacticum
being helpful for a woman who still spoke with a little girl voice.

Rochelle,
It sounds as if there may be a couple of maintaining causes as part of this case -- it would make sense to evaluate the child's diet for nutritional adequacy, I would think. In this case, it may well make sense to suggest a few common sense dietary changes, contrary to your usual practice. A diet can be nutritionally adequate whether omnivorous or vegetarian. Fresh juices can be helpful in cases where people are averse to vegetables or fruits. Also it could be important to transition gradually to whole grains and to taking adequate legumes in addition to grains, if the diet is vegan. Dietary change can be accomplished successfully with gradual changes (e.g. adding just a tiny amount of the desired change item to the regular diet, and increasing it gradually while decreasing less nutritionally desirable items.) If Mum is "savvy" about nutrition, she can also accomplish unperceived wonders in cooking -- adding whole grains and legumes or legume flour as well as fruit/ veg in composed dishes or even in baked goods (why not?).
Good luck! Rosemary

I did discuss food with Mum and daughter without mentioning the word "diet". I introduced them to roasted and salted soya bean, frozen Adzuki and soya (edame) beans both from the local supermarket and also told them where they can buy Urid dahl which has as much protein in it as steak and let them try some that I had cooked for myself the previous day!! I learnt about this + recipes when I went on an Ayuvedic workshop. They are not vegan but I don't get the impression that mum has the time to spend in the kitchen. I think cooking is a dying art with the advent of disgusting ready meals!:-)

Dear Dale,
I couldn't get it out of her what the problem was but taught her to do EFT on it. Maybe next time she will be able to tell me.
What does she eat? She eats cereal with milk and cheese sandwiches and what I call junk food veggie, burger, hot dogs and meat substitutes + too many biscuits

Rochelle -- it strikes me that to some extent at least some of these preferred foods result from the fact that she really likes them?
This could be useful, if you confirm it, in filling in the rubric profile --
Food-desires?
Food-aversion?

Is there a rubric re not wanting to grow up? What other remedies are
(or would be) there?
