HI Rochelle – this was three years before I started to do my training and was just an avid reader and studier of remedies – the lady I got the remedies off at the time – said to put them together (12C) and give them frequently to begin with (3 x day) and as it improved to go to ORS (On Return of Symptoms)– I would do it differently now but actually in my partners case – he was/is never patient or observant enough to give me a good case – even now!! – so would probably have been difficult to differentiate between remedies – so in one way the mix meant that he would just take it rather than have to report or be observant – it worked because he stated that whenever he stopped using it the ankle got sore again, swollen again, and felt less stable so at least the improvements meant that he continued to use it on return of symptoms till it was no longer necessary. I don’t know if there is any difference between ruptured or shredded – my partners was snapped (called ruptured) but as the tendon really resembles a rope of strands the break looks very shredded – Achilles tendoniditis is often when the outer layers of the rope start to ‘fray’ rubbing badly as it passes through the channel causing inflammation and pain - this often precedes the breaking, though my partners was spontaneous while we playing squash – after warming up and playing six games – I was scoring when it happened and heard it snap from the upper gallery!!!

In my son I used Symph 30C (I don’t have a 12C) and was mainly on the symptom/remedy indications and the fact that he had 3 horrible breaks in his fibula and a crack in his tibea. Surgeons were worried that there may be difficult union in one of the fractures - he had not rupture the Achilles though he did have avulsions of ligaments and smaller tendons in the ankle– I used Ruta grav and Rhustox later when indications were more definitely towards these remedies and it was at the time when he finally had the pin out of his ankle and was able to start moving it so the ligament and tendons were ‘tested’ the first time. Again physio was a big factor in full recovery – my son is a drummer and used the double kick pedal off his bass drum endless against a pillow leaning on the wall (as Mum couldn’t stand the noise of the drum!!) but worked as very effective physio!

Hope this helps regards Pauline

Thanks Pauline. Did you use them together at separate times each day? The problem is that this guy is not a patient and whereas he can go to a shop and buy Ruta I know that Symphytum is not sold in the shops and he would have to get it from me , if he was really interested.

Yeah...
But still--if you're only offering him two remedies anyway, why not
suggest that he try them separately, and see which does what? (And
mention that if those don't do what's needed, there *are* other
possibilities, and a process you could take him thru if he wants?)

If he gets the Rx himself from a shop then I am not involved. He I give them then I would be held responsible!! It was my suggestion to him when I saw him on crutches rather than him approaching me!! (I must stop doing this :-))

But how? Mix the 2 MP into one set of pillules or take a pillule of each at
the same time or take both remedies but at different times of the day?

She made a combo out of the two remedies – as I said I would do it differently now that I have trained and know that single remedies and good case taking are the way to go. However we do what we know or are directed to do at times and it still worked – but which one???? Or both?? We will never know now.
