Re: Laurocerasus - rapid small motion aggravation
Hi,
Thanks. At least it is available. Is it something that you can stock and use with many patients over time like a homeopathic remedy?
Best,
Ellen
Seroyal in the US did have them, I order mine through my Pharmacy SImillimum directly from Belgium, from Herbalgem, www.herbalgem.com
I have no idea about what is happening in the US regarding availability of anything........

Basically it is a herbal tincture in alcohol+glycerin+water, so there should not be any problem.

Hi Dr. Roz,
Thanks
You must use the gemmotherapy in gross (drops) amounts the way you would an herbal tincture? I'll buy your book but I just want to get the basics to see if I can even afford to learn about them.
Thanks,
Ellen

A lot more cautiously as they are very powerful.........BTW, the book is not available for the time being until I write a second edition, which will happen after I finish the one on drainage detox which is now delayed because I am preparing a few talks for a series of local conferences........

Hi Dr. Roz,
So they are like drainage remedies, but more powerful. Potentized and dilluted. But not repertorized in the classical homeopathic way. I am guessings, please tell me if I am wrong. Thanks.
It will be really interesting to see how you would make a choice between the traditional drainage remedies and the gemmotherapy remedies. Also, comparisons of cases using the two and management issues.
Blessings,
Ellen

Re: Laurocerasus - rapid small motion aggravation
Hi Shannon,
Thank-you so much for your detailed reply. The Internet is such a blessing, and then to have people like you on the other end. Heaven!!
It is so obvious, but I never thought of going back to the original source. I just segregate the author's writing and do a search on the rubric. It would take a lot of time, but be worth it. Seems that MacRep has better rubrics for this. Wonder who the authors were?
I am always in such a quandary trying to decide if a remedy is doing "good enough." Should I change? Is my dosage the best? Should I be using other alternative therapies. etc. I use the last section of Vithoulkas's The Science of Homeopathy as my Bible. Maybe I should look at something else. I was thinking of Luc De Shepper's books. Do you have any suggestions?
Instructing the patient in more detail to identify what goes away first or what exactly signals the taking of the remedy is very good. I do that but I think I don't pursue it enough. This patient is a healer and very receptive.
About Eizayaga's 6c instructions, what I learned is pretty mechanical. I don't do it that way. My teacher who learned from Murphy tended to recommend 3x/day almost automatically. The idea was the patient could antidote the remedy with medication and also the dosage was so low it would not aggravate. I consider that option, but I have had aggravations doing that. So, I do the ordinary search for the repetition that fits the patient's own rhythm. How I do that is not so clear to me, but I muddle my way into some rhythm. It is a problem when the patient fluctuates fairly quickly as this one does. I suggested weekly because I felt he was taking it daily because he was anxious to get well and stuck on the idea that more repetitions would get him well faster. I wanted to slow him down. Also, I wanted to try once a week because the patient said that he felt better every Tuesday and Wednesday. I guess that was a lame rationale because at that time he was going up and down at a very rapid rate and wearing himself out. He tried every two days and finally settled on once a day. I really like the patient's idea of finger testing and the patient deciding himself to do that himself. He recommended that I attend a Japanese self help seminar that teaches that method. I will probably take him up on that. He does the finger tests with the supplements as well. He is taking Sulphur without the Calc-c now. I told him take it if you feel you need it, but it you don't take it if you don't have to. That way, I can get a clearer reading of the effects of Sulphur.
That's really interesting that B6 helps Magnesium. I have never seen that before (or forgot). He is also not taking the supplements because he thinks they will interfere with the remedy. I tried to explain that they work on a different energy level and he can take supplements with no problems.
Best,
Ellen
