in the middle of a war why be polite...

we don't hear about issues in the press because they intentionally
black out the information. you get the fear mongering like in
maryland where parents are terrorized into compliance with
mass enforced vaccinations regardless of history--this despite
the fact that the state atty general says there is no state
mandate for vaccinations!

there is a poll on msnbc online about this very issue.
i found there a link to an article about a law suit of a parent whose 4
month
old died from childhood cold medicines. this is another of those
barely covered stories: fda notes that otc could medicines are
useless to harmful for children under 6 mos.

on codex: if you go to rima laibow's website Natural solutions foundation
there is much information, including a good online video that you can watch.
her website has generated thousands, upon thousands of messages to the
fda and congress about codex. the process, as per usual, is a series of
legislative steps that slowly erode our DSHEA regs that protect our access
to herbs,
food supplements and protocols like homeopathy. and i am sure that
congress
has done little to inform itself about the rules of codex anymore now than
they
did when they voted on it as part of the CAFTA treaty a couple of summers
ago.

good luck with your congressional meeting. they can be informative, even
in the
negative.

Hi Shannon,
Yes - I am quite aware of that.

I was responding to Irene's implying (the way I understood it anyway)
that these health freedoms are all that's required in our fight for
homeopathy.

Btw: As far as children are concerned it is the same here - not the
vaccination issue but for cancer. We can refuse treatment or choose
alternative treatment for ourselves, but not for our children.

The laws are complex here, and the definition of the practice of
medicine is currently at state level - but federal law supercedes that
so if a constitutional amendment (which uis federal of course) for
freedom of health choice came into being - the allopaths would no longer

Indeed they currently officially do not control the definition by

constitutional amendment giving the RIGHT to choose. Currently there is
no right to choose in USA at the constitutional level where it really
needs to be.

So I would be happier seeing a process to achieve that constitutional
amendment as the most necessary and relevant and achievable strep in the
right direction. It needs no definitions of which health system offers
what - it is a basic right to choose whatever the individual wants -
that is the principle - if that is being tarred and feathered - that's a
right to choose - as it is with religion - health practice needs to be
elevated to the same acceptance level as religious practice. By USA
constitutional amendment. That is what I advocate.

Hi Irene,

yes, I fully understand and agree.

However - what will be the use to the people if they have the right to
choose and there no longer exists anything to choose? They can choose
e.g. homeopathy, any definition or method of it - but if there are no
longer any remedies available....

That way the people in the USA are in the same boat as all the others
globally, wouldn't you say?

well, that is the direction of the powers-that-be. that
is exactly what Codex is about.
if we do not organize heavily we are done for.
we need to assault our legislators with our numbers.
i recall my intro to codex several yrs ago. perhaps
others will recall a world-wide petition against codex
being developed in the EU. there were about 4 Million
signatures but the pharmaceutical companies ran the show
and this petition was ignored. i think that tells us
something about the level of organizing work that needs to
be done. we need to stop in-fighting and start organizing
supporting homeopathic organizations with the goal of securing
our existence has to become paramount.

Ah, I see.
I'd have to agree it is not *all* that's required--yet if we do not
have that freedom of choice, then it begins to pretty much not matter
just how good the alternative "tools" might be... So tho not
sufficient, it is IMO crucial!
