I don't think it is important at all. I agree with what Karen Allen wrote
in that article I sent.
I don't go by it at all because something that is not in bold could be just
as important for my patient.
Same as the whole thing with statistics - they say statistically you will
get such and such - say 90% - what if I'm in the 10%.

It has never been important in any case I've done.

Hi Vera,

a proving symptom observed more often should be something worth to be
followed, even worth to be leanrt sometimes.
One way:
after reading the remedy in the MMP, go to Hering's Guiding symptoms.

At least in the beginning, he differentiated clearly between symptoms
produced, symptoms produced more often, symptoms cured, symptoms
repeatedly cured.

These classifications help you to learn or memorize a remedy, get an
idea of what it 'easily' does, what it does more often.

So when confronted with a new case, you should have an idea of the
remedies before looking at the rep and checking for special symptoms.

Hi Gaby,
Thanks very much - at present I'm really looking at this from the point of view of the student, how best to study proving symptoms and MM in general. My feeling is that if someone bothered to write something in bold or italics, they wanted it to be more noticeable - as is true in anything anyone writes today. The question was - what level of importance, and also whether the emphasis was made by someone other than the author, which does not seem to be the case here.
I'll check out Hering - I don't have the books, only the software version so I'm not sure how full it is. Next book purchase coming up...
