Hi Shannon,
Well, it was first mentioned to me in a discussion on the treatment of Molluscum by someone who said she had used it a lot successfully. I am not a great ‘specifics’ person but this person asked if I hadn’t noticed how often children with molluscum seemed to suffer from poor concentration at school, dreaminess and getting into trouble for it. Sweatiness, exhaustion, jumpiness, irritability also ………... When I reviewed some of my more stubborn cases I could see a picture there and I used it on two ongoing cases with spectacular success and since then most children with molluscum symptoms will end up with Ladyfern now at some stage. I have not often been disappointed. Having said that, my most recent case, which was by far the worst I have ever seen and which had been going on for 2-3 years responded dramatically to Phosphorus after Ladyfern did nothing. Mulluscum does not come up clearly in the proving of either although there is something in the ladyfern one that could be a burst red molluscum and some itchy lumps.
I feel I should be using it more widely and this has reminded me to.
Theresa
Theresa--I would love to hear how you've used it (Ladyfern)?

Re: Have any of the fern being proven?
Well I have now had 2 failures with the Medorrhinum 200 weekly that was proposed as a specific for Molluscum and have today given Molluscum 30 to one of them as Mum was getting fed up!! Carc started to work originally with this child and we went up to 200. Then I saw a clear Sulphur picture which did nothing. With the Med more Molluscum are appearing so I am not the most popular homeopath
I forgot about Ladyfern and I even got some in when this was discussed last time. How do you actually give it Theresa?

Would the Sulphur-Calcarea-Lycopodium sequence be applicable? Molluscum - form of psorum. All 3 top anti-psorics. Old masters preferred Tuberculinum over Psorinum in breaking through psoric miasmatic block. In Chronic Diseases Hahnemann states anti-psorics are best taken in morning, not evening, 1/2 hour away from food or drink, without sleeping right away.
FWIW!

Hi Rochelle
I only have the Ladyfern in a 30 and I have given that one a day for five days usually. Sometimes I have repeated it later but generally not.

I only use this triad when the patients actually look to me as if they need the remedy. This child to me is Sulphur - but that did nothing. No way is she Calc. Lyco ...maybe as she certainly rules the roost. Tuberculin is interesting as she since she has been treating all signs of respiratory problem for which she took inhalers have gone and she has now stopped these drugs. However she is more sycotic in my opinion as she has a constant running or stopped left nostril and nothing in the reps for applicable rubrics, grabs me!!!

Thanks Theresa.
I also have it in 30C. Lets see how she gets on with the Molluscum C - one a day for up to 10 days first.
