Re: delusion - ghosts

Thank you Gabriele,

That makes so much sense to me - there was a story of alcohol abuse,
indications of drug use, and that need to detach, not feel anything,
not be touched, and a sensation of being very unreal and other
worldly.

Hello Gail,
alcoholics normally tell other stories.
They will not see the reality,
concentrate on a special theme which has nothing to do with the circumstances they live in.
the onion down would fly into the corner - or they could take the knife to "kill" it.
= sleep or aggressions
The alcoholics need a control(ler), not so the smoker of shit.
May be because cannabis is not a drug like alcohol.
May be that's also a question of the country you live ?
Over here you can drink so much you want; but it's a problem to consume shit.
So you can live it free being alcoholic .
You can be aggressive, you can sleep at the next corner...
An alcoholic, if at the end of his story, perhaps threats with his suicid and may do.
With cannabis abuse he will not, if he would like to do so - and I am pretty sure, he doesn't like.
He lives in another world - so he needs no suicid.
Alcohol pastes at the ground - Cannabis grows up wings.

How would you compare the opium picture, and might that be a
possibility for the "ghosts" delusions too?

Yes, because their loosed themselves.
It's difficult to describe it.
First because of the foreign language
second because I have never tried to form it in words.
The body was absolutly passive while the ghost was on journey -
in another world - no aggression, no sleep.
And when touched anxious (like "mumm help!").
naturally "ghosts - delusions".
And when asked not able to describe their feelings - strange for the other people.

Gabriele,
I had never appreciated before the personality differences displayed
through the addictive substance of choice. A bit obvious I guess when
you read the materia medica. Not having your experience, I also
assumed there would often be a dependance on both alcohol and
cannabis, or other drugs, (also coffee and tobacco).

Makes me wonder around the differing core susceptibilities which
would create a predisposition towards addiction to particular
substances.

Gail.

Gail,
sorry for answering so late.
It was the other way around:
First these experiences - than the materia medica.
Before I practicised acupuncture, chiropractics ...
That convinced me from the hom. literature and possibilities.
Predisposition:
I'm not sure, that I know, what you mean.
The addiction of special people to a special drogs?
May be that depends on the kind of problem they can't manage.
And offcourse the chance to get drogs.
Stopping consume:
By the way: I dont believe that's a real problem to loose the addiction to whatever,
if you know a solution of the question you former couldn't clear - if you have a real
good reason to do; without any symptom of remove
(Hope the description is correct. I can't find it in dictionary ;-).
