We're in agreement that Hahnemann should not have tolerated "mongrel
homoeopathy"; I was merely acknowledging that he might have made
allies of some rather than enemies had he left their egos intact. On
the other hand, my memory of the history of events leading up to
publication of his criticisms is hazy; perhaps he had already given
that approach its chance.
