well up to a point I agree that views were interesting and
informative but it went on and on and views were restated and no one
was going to shift and I got tired. Someone said that to be too
negative helps to create that reality.- another interesting thought.
I do so wish that we homeopaths could work with the orthodox as
their ability to do research and to understand mechanisms is valuable
too. Maybe the miasmatic theory is enough but the more information

In a lecture from Jeremy Sherr, he said that allopaths are linear and
materialistic - want a cause, to find something from the outside that
caused your symptoms - ie bacteria, virus; something from the inside that
caused gallbladder pain - the gallstones. But can they explain why the
gallstones are there. Well they'll try - high cholesterol or some such
nonsense. And then they have to explain why the cholesterol was high and
that could be, they think, because of too many eggs, and they why do too
many eggs do this and on and on and on. And then they will do surgery, or
give antibiotics, or give anti-depressants. All their medicine and
technique is anti - against. The search for the 1 cause is unending - can
go back forever and ever. Ulcer from this - too much acid (now its
bacteria, for the sake of the example), and why too much acid, and why and
why and why. They will never get to the end because the end is the Vital
Force of the human and you can't measure that or find that. That is what
the homeopaths look to from the beginning - not to measure or find but to
listen to, hear, & watch what it is doing. There is no answer to the
cause, only the message of the symptoms to see what the VF is telling us.

They don't recognize the VF of nature and the universe because they
separate everything out - break into parts - cells, pieces. A Greek
philosopher said he's rather discover the single cause of illness than be
the King of Persia - he said that because it is not possible to find a
single cause or a cause. You can only look wider and wider for real
understanding.

I would suggest that buying into the fear of viruses and germs is pretty
negative.

Shining the light on the corruption and reasons behind the propaganda
certainly is a positive thing.

Awareness and education and knowledge is freedom. And what is health?
Freedom

Many homeopaths define health as a state of freedom - freedom existing on 3
interrelated levels - the physical, the emotional and the mental (and I
would include a 4th - the spiritual). But for purposes of this course we
will mostly be talking about the 3 levels. From "The Science of
Homeopathy" - "A healthy person experiences physical vitality and freedom
from physiological malfunction, emotional peace and freedom of expression,
and mental clarity with creativity.

Organon, 6th edition ("The Organon of the Medical Art by Samuel Hahnemann,
edited and annotated by Wenda Brewster O'Reilly, PhD ) ------- Paragraph 9
- "In the healthy human state, the spirit-like life force (autocracy) that
enlivens the material organism as dynamic, governs without restriction and
keeps all parts of the organism in admirable, harmonious, vital operation,
as regards both feelings and functions, so that our indwelling, rational
spirit CAN FREELY AVAIL ITSELF OF THIS LIVING, HEALTHY
INSTRUMENT FOR THE HGHER PURPOSES OF OUR EXISTENCE!" (CAPS my own)

Isn't that wonderful - I think that is one of the most important paragraphs
in the Organon.

I am very silly to write further. I would be more willing to
withdraw support from orthodox ,hang draw and quarter them {often
frustrated they do not recognize my skills ] except if in a critical
situation if I can not find the right remedy they may well rescue
and a deeper approach can be used later. In critical trauma [severed
arteries, broken bones ] perforated ulcers ,though that does not
happen much nowadays, ectopic pregnancies, their skills are needed.
Many of them by their humanity help folk through all sorts of

i agree with you that allopathy has been able to provide some
very critical life saving skills in cases of emergency. however,
it is the arrogance of its position that it knows and has the
right to control all realities about healing that creates the problem.
there is little openess to new ideas. actually the entire history
of allopathy is on ongoing battle to maintain a rigid understanding
on one side, while some try to insert a potentially new idea into
the system. an particularly if the new idea contradicts an old
tenet.

i wonder how hahneman would view some of the so-called
scientific` advances of the past 50 yrs? i think he might be
intrigued, would apply his very astute and critical eye, and
end by reasserting his positions as to what healing is all about.
i think the quotes from sheri's posts are as appropriate today
as they were in his day.

it seems a no brainer that many of the indian homeopaths
are more open to allopath
and educational benefit of its members. It makes no representations

to finish my computor aborted thought:

look at what has transpired in the case of AIDs. the media
has been totally complicit with the big monied interests of the
drug industry and the medical factories. the total denial of ongoing
healing protocols that have been working is almost universal.
that is why this discussion is so important. it is a place for us to
share these alternate views and pieces of experience.
parentetically, it seems a no brainer that many of the indian homeopaths
are more open to allopathic process since there is at least
some openess in hospital work between the two systems of
healing. i have a hard time visioning such cooperation in the
usa with the current system of pharmaceutical control of
teaching and research & development monies that are granted
to teaching facilities. there is a big issue about legislating
ethical behavior in congress right now in the usa. the crux
of the issue is whether these legislators will have the guts to
build real gates on the access of private interest via $$$$
to congressional folk. without such a bold step, i can see
no hope for meaningful change in how our healing institutions
behave. and consequently, no way to significantly bridge
the gap between approaches.
