And isn't it weird that should be any debate... For centuries (if not
millennia) it's been recognized by farmers, vets and grandmas--what's
taken the doctors and "scientists" so long??? Weird.

Tanya whats happening now is that we are beginning to understand
better why the old remedies/diets work That can be helpful in terms of
maximising their efficacy. EG pomegranate juice over grape etc. You
are right though. Its not that long ago at all that conventional
wisdom was that the food faddists that promoted wholemeal over refined
were cranks. Now its common knowledge that brown bread is better for you.
