Thanks Andy again for your very thorough research. The first Rx I gave him was Kali Brom low as a specific for acne as he was about to go on holiday and I didn't want to give him a constitutional Rx before he went in case he had to get in touch with me. The Kali Brom really didn't do anything. Interesting is that Thuja is not in your list and it was a Rx I was thinking about originally which is in the rubric Skin, cicatrices, blue: ant-c, asaf, bad, cench, ferr, lach, rhus-t,
sep, sul-ac, thuj that Shannon found.

This 18 yr old really is not very bright educationally as well as being dyslexic and I find myself wanting to give him Baryta Carb but he is not dependant enough and has no fears about sticking up for others if necessary with aggression.

All the best

It's interesting to see sulphur in that group! And also in the little
one re "blue cicatrices", and the wanting to bulk out thing (egotism,
or ?)... Are you sure sulphur couldn't cover it??

Dear Andy,
I have just tried to rep Acne blue and it appeared that this is specifically for the acne. His acne looks normal with while pustules but it is the scars that it leaves that are blue.

Kali-brom is another rx for blue or bluish-red acne which leaves scars.

The fact that Sulphur is in this rubric is because Sulphur's can be
real snobs and do care about their appearance and it is possible that,
if the acne is quite bad, it bothers him and so washing a lot is like
trying to wash it all away.

But the rubric you have chosen is incomplete - where is Lac can, hyos,
thuja, carc, coca, med, nat mur, psorinum, syphilinum

there is also delusion dirty (if that is what is going on) and maybe
even the 'disgust' rubric would be applicable and Sulphur becomes big
time in that rubric. Joy

Yes joy I can see what you mean about that rubric being incomplete. I will have to discuss this topic more with him when he next comes in. As I said I can see Thuja in the case.

One of Shannon's rubrics:
Skin, cicatrices, blue: ant-c, asaf, bad, cench, ferr, lach, rhus-t,

(( According to (I think Boger) Lach (purplish blue) is a complement of
Caust (and not a minor one).

This guy sounds like he might need an animal rx at some point? ("bulk out"
at the gym)

Hi Andy!
Well, my thought was--depending *why* he wants to bulk out. Is it for
defense / offense (maybe metal), or egotism (e.g. sulph) or to fit in
and put on a good show (maybe thuja), or to be more studly (maybe
animal), or ?? (Maybe this came out in what was posted earlier; I
can't remember--but in any case the lach / causticum connection does
sound good to keep in mind!)
Cheers,
Shannon
