yes, that's why I asked lacticum acidum - it is the sour milk rx,
affinity with breast feeding problems, hence the 'girlish' theme ?? I
don't know Scholten that well but lactic acid has a lot of
constriction (physical and emotional hence the 'not growing up theme),
the physical sensation is especially felt in the throat that changes
the voice. But am sure someone else will confirm or otherwise. Best
wishes, Joy
in schoten's index the lacticums are listed as pages 87, 91,166,169 and 304.
i can't find the passage that referenced the high pitched voice with these,
but I 'll keep looking.

I remember a Links article, I thought by Smits but probably Scholten, about
Lactic Acid. I remember it was a very 'girly' remedy; lots of dolls;
mannerisms.
I had a wonderful result using it in a case of Fibromyalgia. A 39 year old
( going on 19) grew into a woman & remained pain free. She had a bed covered
with dolls!
What I have to subtlety find out is if she has always had this type of voice and demeanour and as Robyn said - is this a part of the case at all? This is not a physical sensation that is felt in the throat. I have Scholten's so I will give it a read. This woman has had 3 IVF failures and with the last nearly died because they over stimulated the ovaries for the egg production. She has PCOS and all that goes with it. She is very stressed at the moment about the hoops she has to run around for the adoption of 2 brothers., She is in the last 6 couples and they will decide soon. Some big wigs are up from London this week to suss the home conditions out. Her presenting complaint was actually grief on losing her mother last year together with being emotionally drained from the ongoing adoption processes.
then there is natrum lacticum, magnesium lacticum, ferrum lacticum, etc so I imagine
Scholten writes about the lacticums as a group?? whether your client needs this rx or not it
would appear to be a group worth studying. Joy
Thanks Bonnie,
After seeing the corrected spelling (and don't know why I needed that!)
I did find it in Scholten. The only page with actual information
(other than DD references) is 169:
"Lacticums are organic compounds made up of hydrogen, carbon, and
oxygen. Our of all the lacticums lactic acid is the only remedy that
is reasonably well known, at least as far as physical symptoms are
concerned.
Girl
If we had to choose one word to describe the Lacticums we could take
the word 'girlish'. This is how their parents usually describe them
too. Even in later life they keep thi girlish quality. It can also be
seen in the stereotype of the 'little woman'.
Childish immature dependent
The most striking aspect of their charater is the childish dependency
on others. They act very childishly for their age. They have a high
pitched and happy little voice.
The problems usually start when they reach an age when they have to
start work or tgo to college, or leave home, in fact any time when they
have to start taking responsibility for their own life. They want to
have continuong support, they want to hear that they are doing things
right. They have a desire for compliments, but not in the same way
that Palladium or Manganum needs compliments. The words that Lacticum
wants to hear are more like: 'Well done, little girl!' The opposite,
too, may also happen, i.e. that they get upset when someone calls them
a little girl or treats them like a little girl...."
Cheers,
Shannon
