and desire for stimulation; afaik phos-ac, is more the opposite (or
perhaps later stage..) - breakdown, lying in bed,

But just for consideration--phos ac *can* have restlessness; would need
to suit the whole case, but don't eliminate phos ac *just* because of
the restlessness. It's under "Generalities, rest agg" (2); "Gen, rest
agg, as well as motion"; and "Gen., restlessness, physical". But you'd
need reasons for giving phos ac rather than some other (perhaps more
restless) remedy... And to me also it doesn't seem that "desire for
stimulation" really brings phos ac to mind. What sort of stimulation
does he desire?
