That's my biggest concern, too!!
Perhaps the sensation is a proving symptom and will pass quickly. Or
perhaps it's just a *change* in the way he's experiencing his world
(e.g. if he had previously been over-attached? I'm just groping for
possibilities...). But if it's not one of those two, then I would be
watching carefully to see whether it's a curative direction or not.

Re: mind ~ surreal
His diet is good. He has had to watch what he eats and eat good
food due to the Acid Reflux/heartburn.
He's now enjoying different foods which he couldn't eat due to the
heartburn.
He has had this dreamy like state before the Lyc was ever given but
that wasn't his big concern due to the Heartburn and Heart
Palpitation. So it's not a proving with this remedy.
Also he's just had 3 12C's. I wanted to make sure it was the
correct remedy without aggravations.
His improvement between 4-8pm is perfect. No problems just this
constant dreamy state so I'll watch and wait and see where this goes
and hopefully the Lyc will be curative.
Thanks everyone, I'll keep you posted

Hello Soroush,
you say that Lyc is a long lasting remedy. I was given 1 lyc 10M and 30 lyc 6x.
After two monthw my problems came back and i was given lyc again. It didnt seem to last long enough... Could this be explained?
regards

I would say that as your prescription seems to be doing good - hang on in
there and do not change any thing.
Lyc is long lasting remedy - so do not repeat too quickly either.

The answer is in the 30 x 6c (if I have understood you correctly)
I have seen this before - it is TOTALLY an incorrect mode of prescription
with no justification.

Re: mind ~ surreal
Hi Dimitri,
There are so many variables in the question of how long a remedy lasts!
The most likely reason for a 10M lasting only a month, is that the
remedy was not quite a fit. But if there are organic changes (i.e. a
disease that has progressed to the point of lasting physical damage to
tissues or organs), then 10M might need to be repeated more frequently.
But you really should ask your homeopath for his/her understanding,
because s/he will use that information to decide what to do
next--further doses of the same, or (perhaps more likely) change the
remedy.

Dear Shannon,
This is the first time I have heard that 10M's are repeated more in organic lesions. I have never used high potencies except for acutes. You would not suspect the remedy or potency choice when the remedy is not working? How would you judge the need to repeat? Is it just like any other potency? How fast would you expect to see the amelioration and how long would you expect it to last? I am asking because this is unfamiliar.
Blessings,
Ellen

Hello Shannon,
thank for your information.
im talking about a chronical problem.
It was depression, stress, no self confidence, allergy, rhinitis, asthma, gastric problems, haemmoroids, skin problems-dermatitis, fall of hair.
All of them continue to exist (but very light), except dermatitis and rhinitis. The last two persist.Rhinitis comes and goes-not seasonal but worsens in June due to plant pollen, dermatitis exists all year.
Doctor (and I) dont think there is anything physical damage to
tissues or organs. Not a serious one anyway...
The doctor was informed and decided to repeat the dosage.
For some reason im pessimist for the results...

Re: mind ~ surreal
Well, I share your pessimism, especially in light of the fact that the
only two things to disappear have been the most superficial. But if
you feel comfortable with the prescriber, and if he has good training
and reputation, then it should be worthwhile following his advice, e.g.
to let him remove any doubt in his mind about whether or not the remedy
might have been "antidoted" (had its action interfered with by
something external; not common, but it sometimes happens). Also,
giving a remedy that is "close" can sometimes clarify the picture, so
that the *truly* needed remedy becomes identifiable. The third and
most likely possibility, if it's simply the wrong remedy, is that the
second dose will act the same as the first, or possibly not act at all.
Or if it was an antidoting, then the second dose should act for many,
many months.
Good luck!!

Re: mind ~ surreal
Oops, sorry Ellen--this came in while I was away, and I overlooked it
when I got back!
Re 10M repeated more in organic disease... Well, I am only repeating
what I've heard. I was taught to use *low* potencies in organic
disease, but I have also heard of very high potencies being used, and
have been told that a severe disease can "use up" the dose extremely
fast. I know I've heard of 10M repeated very often, even daily, in
severe mental disease (can't verify that it was appropriate treatment,
but the source *seemed* credible), and I'm pretty sure I've also heard
it used for severe physical disease, organic lesions.
Below:
I've used highs more for deep chronic than for acute, but never for
organic disease.
Well, the issue would be "not holding" rather than "not working", and
you would need to have a very clear sense of what's happening, both
medically and homeopathically, in order to feel confident doing this, I
would think.
Yes, just the same except for the time frame.
I've wondered whether some of the cases that are responding (or at
least holding steady against medical expectations) on repeated high
potencies, might do at least as well with low potencies, but I really
don't know. I wish I did!
I would entirely depend on the case! I do know that some people repeat
(even high potencies) on a "schedule", but I would not, and don't
understand that approach.
I wonder if anyone can offer experience or cases, where repeated high
potencies were used for a severe physical ailment--anyone?
Best,
Shannon
