Rhus tox comes high in things have repertorised. Maybe mental
restlessness portrayed by business adventures, Anxiety for family
present. Also has delusion is dirty. Complementary to Bryonia
[business issues]. Do not know where the vitiligo would come in.
Stramonium as struggling to survive. ?? Very interesting case,

Re: Urticaria
Doesn't ignatia come to mind ? The 11 am agg, the recent grief,
sensitiveness and chilliness.
In contrast, the other grief Rx Natm also has 11am agg but would have shied
away from the sun.
Just an idea.

I had a new case in today. resenting complaint is an urticaria which appears
around 11 a.m. and recedes at around 3 p.m. most days She has had it for 5
weeks with no particular aetiology. It is a blotchy red rash, very itchy,
hot and can look like cottage cheese- bubbly she called it. It is on her
arms and legs including the hands and feet but not on the torso. It has
appeared on her buttocks and once on her face. We tried a cold pack which
she didn't like because she is a chilly person who loves the sun so we tried
a warm pack which she preferred. "It makes me feel horrible , grubby and I
want to wash. It is as if there is something on the inside trying to get
out. Her doctor called it hives and prescribed Piriton , an antihistamine,
which makes her tired. She lost her dad 12 months ago which was a big shock
to her. She couldn't eat for a number of weeks but appears to have got over
the grief now.
Do you think I should be looking at this as an acute or chronic complaint?
BTW- she has just had - 4 days ago - lots of vaccinations as she is going
abroad in 3 weeks. She also has been told she has to take allopathic malaria
prophylaxis. Although I have Dr Banerjea's suggestions for prophylaxis I
have to say I am not confident about prescribing it and she hadn't come to
see me for that!!
Any suggestions, comments, will be very welcome.

Has she had other skin conditions in the past that she suppressed?
Did she suppress her emotional reaction to her Dad's death, with any drugs.

Well, I hate to see what those vacceins might do to her with this
condition. It could exacerbate it or they could be so strong, that this
will disappear because what the vaccines have done make that the stronger
disease.
And I would warn her GREATLY about the dangers of the allopathic drug for
malaria - Lariam or one of its similars.
I will send those to the list for others to inform themselves.
She takes that and she may come back psychotic as one of my patients did.

Re: Urticaria
Dear Rochelle,
The patient seems a constitutional ign after I saw what you wrote to
Rosemary. The conscientiousness of this person that she would alone
be able to help her mother adds to that. Plus the key modality of 11
am and grief which has still not gone deep.
My sister once had a skin problem as a chronic one. Once during a
fever, she commented to me, 'you know how ill I feel with your wife
in the kitchen doing all the chores and myself sitting here doing
nothing'. Ign relieved all the acute symptoms. It is one of the Rx in
Conscientious , trifles about.

Re: Urticaria
Hardly an acute if she has had it for 5 weeks. You have some excellent
modalities there and descriptions which are suggestive of a number of
rx - probably best to go with them than a vague aetiology that may or
may not include grief (you say she 'appears' to have got over it but
you need to know) - what needs to be cured and grading/ranking sx as
always. Joy

Re: Urticaria
I know I have excellent modalities, some unreppable, but I can't find a rx I
am happy with as yet.I need to do more studying. What needs to be cured at
this moment is the urticaria. That is what she has come for. I don't see any
real aetiology as yet.

Re: Urticaria
The eruption between 11a.m.until 3 p.m. for starters!! I don't feel that agg
11a.m. is enough. Maybe daytime only? Although she didn't like cold on the
eruption and preferred warm that is because she is a chilly person . I don't
feel it was agg or amel.
Also sneezing night on waking- I wasn't impressed with the 2 remedies given.
There is vitiligo which I am not sure if I mentioned.
I feel she is an ambitious person, determined (not repperable - stubborn to
me is not the same) Discontented about her lot- but not about everything in
her life - just the material things(not repperable). She says they have a
very happy family. She does everything for everyone, rather than wait for
anyone else to do it. The word martyr came to mind. She is one of those busy
people you would gives something you wanted doing to as you know it would be
done!! Yet you have the polarity that she reckons she is selfish to
concentrate on her husband and children's needs to the extent that she would
be pushed long the wayside. Maybe this is a delusion.
She spoke with a loud voice incidentally.
Am just speaking out loud as it were to get my thoughts together.
