Therefore writing the duration of action of remedies is non-sense. Correct?

Re: 30C's
The only possible use I've been able to divine is that one could make
general comparisons such as, "Remedy Q tends to be long-acting /
slow-acting in comparison to Remedy W"--other things being more or
less, apparently equal. But I'm only guessing. I've never heard
anyone actually describe or defend its usefulness, and especially since
no potencies are listed and different potencies *do* tend to have
different lengths of effect (other things being more or less,
apparently equal), it's mysterious to me! Maybe useful for comparison
with other remedies in similar situations. If anyone has a different
take, I am interested to hear!

Re: 30C's
Also one hears for example Nux-v refereed to a short-acting. Does any one info to the contrary?

Re: 30C's
Depends what one means by short acting...
I suspect it MAY be because nux tends to apply more to conditions
that are quick to respond?
I don't think any Rx is of itself long or short acting, it must
surely depend more on the condition to which the remedy is
homeopathic, a quick to resolve or slow to resolve condition?
Thus Aco might be said to be short acting in acute conditions and
perhaps short acting in chronic conditions that have for example been
brought on by fear, i.e..t he fear ( or cold wind) aetiology removed,
they quickly get better - hence short acting
+ e.g.gI have seen Sil act very quickly in chronic conditions
I heard Boericke later said he regretted putting potency and
duration of action in his MM but did so at the time just as a guide
to help the novice

Dear Soroush, I prefer to turn this around somewhat and suggest that
Nux vom (and also other rx in this group) act very quickly, as if to
reflect the TYPE of sx you find within this group - sudden, violent,
shocking etc and this leads one to believe that the action of the rx is
then short acting but I don't experience this whenever I have used Nux,
The action can last as long as any other rx, depending on the correct
potency and dose as well. Best wishes, Joy

Re: 30C's
Just speculating, but since it is an intense, spasmodic remedy, which
includes a lot of sensitivities, including attraction to the same
things that it has trouble with (stimulants; coffee; fast living;
etc.), it sort of seems plausible that it might need more frequent
repeating than some others--or rather, that a person in a state which
calls for nux, might be more prone to "antidoting" (doing things that
interfere with their body's ability to respond to the remedy) and might
tend to "use up" the energy of the remedy more quickly?

Hi, I do not agree with this reason. Radiotherapy in conventional medicine is also by energy but you can tell the exact duration of its action. And idea?

Re: 30C's
Dear John
And again the effect of Radiotherapy is through its physical energy to
disrupt cells. It is not like the subtle 'energy' of homoeopathic/potentised
substances.
Please advise how the duration of a course of Radiotherapy in any given
patient may be gauged?
Although we may have norms, is the duration of the totality of the effects
(burns, hair loss, production of cancerous cells etc) the same in all?

Re: 30C's
coorection, Raditherapy is also energy but with very rough nature. It is different with delicate effect of Homeopathic remedies.
