Mus-m (house mouse)
should be kept in mind for bulemia.
They have a sense of having been attacked by
family that they should be able to trust.

See my website for a preliminary proving

Roger,

Congratulations on your site! I'm very much in favour of bringing
homeopathy out of the "cottage industry" and that every practitioner should
have some web presence. You've done a great job. (Couldn't find the mouse
hole though, where is he hiding?)

Best wishes, Elizabeth

Dear Beverly, if the fear is now the main emotional expression, she is
literally living in fear, then I would also consider Rhus tox (not sure
if that was on your list or not) - even though Rhus prefers warm water
there are some intriguing pulls towards this rx and you might want to
think about it. Best wishes, Joy

Hi Beverly, Tanya

I agree with Tanya wholeheartedly about the compulsive quality - and for that
reason have used "Obsessive Compulsive" ("Compulsive" only in Murphy's)
and/or "Monomania" in light of this, FWIW. On a previous list, I believe the
remedy Conv. was suggested (presumably because of the rubric MIND;
DELUSIONS, imaginations; fat internally, she gets (1) : conv.).

Anyway, hope you find something also amongst Andy's wonderful selection.

Hi Roger,

Just a cheeky aside really, but in England, I suspect this "They have a sense of
having been attacked by family that they should be able to trust" might cover well
over 50% of the English population at any one time - and especially after the
Festive Season, when the divorce rate apparently soars. ;-)

Hi, Beverly -

I think you can use the rubrics about delusions of being too large.

These are from RADAR:

MIND - DELUSIONS - large - parts of body seem too large
acon.;1;sf1 alum.;1;k anh.;1;jl aran.;1;sf1 bad.;1;ptk bapt.;1;fr
bell.;1;hr1 bov.;1;sf1 cann-i.;1;k13 carb-v.;1;k13 hyos.;2;k mang.;1;sf
mim-p.;1;jl nux-m.;1;sf1 op.;1;k pic-ac.;1;k stram.;1;k

MIND - SIZE - incorrect judgement of
agar.;1;k calc.;1;ptk1 cann-i.;1;mrr1 chinin-s.;1;a1 onos.;1;ptk1
plat.;1;ptk1 stram.;1;k

Given that the fear component is, as you say, paramount, you might find the
following notes from a Mangialavori lecture interesting. It's about
Stramonium, which is in both rubrics:

SATISFYING BASIC NEEDS IS FORBIDDEN; if he does this, he won't receive what
he needs in terms of affection; they feel their instincts are not acceptable
to others. Usually much more SHAMEFUL, RESERVED, CLOSED than other
Solanaceae. He feels he will be despised forever; there is no way to
overcome this. Many more sxs of PERSECUTION in Stram. than Bell. It's not
the persecution of the paranoid; this persecution is from inside them - it's
a part of themselves that they should destroy but can't. It's as if they
have no right to exist or live. We often see this in people with RIGID
UPBRINGING that doesn't allow contact with instinctive side - bordered by
rules, told not to do this or parents won't love them any more (i.e., if
they please themselves, they won't be loved); leads to a feeling of being
forsaken. It comes out in nightmares - these things are PRIMARY and come up
in PRE-VERBAL STAGE. A spider remedy can tell you clearly how their family
is interfering with their sexual life; but when something is primary and
comes in beginning of life, it's not something you can readily describe - it
manifests in ghosts, blackness, etc. Feels it can destroy him because it
can't recognize him - if you feel asking your mom for a cup of milk is doing
something horrible, that you'll be beaten, etc., you're scared, destroyed -
ergo, primary needs and satisfying them becomes destructive, terrifying
[this is PERCEPTION of Px; don't necessarily have an abusive Hx in every
case].

Peace,
Cinnabar

Hi,
I don't think you said whether the patient actually is fat. Bulimics are not like anorexics in this respect - they may look perfectly normal size or (quite often) be a bit overweight.
The over-riding feeling i have noticed is self-disgust at having binged - guilt - punishment etc. The history of abuse, as here, is often more common than in anorexia. (Huge generalisations, of course!)
Im not sure, though, that delusions of being big would necessarily hit the spot from what you have written.

major exercise program to keep 'weight' off

long time feeling of being fat
is dangerous to be fat as father used to beat patient and only stopped if patient looked thin and sick

Thanks Roger, Intriguing mini-proving!
Just to note--clicking the link for Will takes you to a different site,
which is just a list of homeopathy resources. I tried to Google up
Will's new site, but no luck so far...
