This condition is a general term describing where one loses feeling, muscle control or has paralysis in their foot due to neurological, vascular or spinal reasons from injury or disease and causes the foot to seem droopy or drag.
A friend who early last month fractured their humerous bone from a fall and had taken a few doses of Arnica 200C had another accident a few weeks ago where some heavy objects fell on their foot, leg and was hospitalized and in ICU with pneumonia at the same time.
They didn't get the chance to take Symphytum I had provided before this 2nd accident.
Things have gotten better and person is recovered after 2 weeks of intravenous antibiotics then oral antibiotics.
Due to the hospital scene, I couldn't give any vitamins, herbs, probiotics, homeopathic remedies until yesterday.
Main complaint is numbness in foot which neurologist says is acute foot drop likely due to nerve damage or compressiion and says may never fully recover.
I made up a 4 oz. flip top squeezable travel bottle with 3 pills 30C Hypericum in water and person has taken 3 teaspoon doses so far with instructions to take a dose every 4 hours. They're confined to a hospital bed and this was the easiest way to administer the remedy. The hospital has paper med cups with teaspoon markings so don't need a spoon. So far, no noticeable change.
I also gave them B6 100mg capsules and multi-B complex which the neurologist recommended.
B6 supposedly helps nerves, those with carpal tunnel are told to take it.
A few years ago, this person had fell asleep sitting up and had arm numbness due to ulnar never compression and Rhus Tox cured that.
Any ideas if I should to up to Hypericum 200C or another remedy?
It's not clear which nerve is being affected, one suggestion was sciatic which has nerve that extends to back of knee, peroneal nerve that controls the muscles that lift your foot. This nerve runs near the surface of your skin on the side of your knee closest to your hand. Activities that compress this nerve can increase your risk of foot drop. Examples include:
* Crossing your legs. People who habitually cross their legs can compress the peroneal nerve on their uppermost leg.
* Prolonged kneeling. Occupations that involve prolonged squatting or kneeling — such as picking strawberries or laying floor tile — can result in foot drop.
* Wearing a leg cast. Plaster casts that enclose the ankle and end just below the knee can exert pressure on the peroneal nerve.
Person will be given an MRI on Monday to check the spine.
Checking in Asa Hershoff's book Homeopathy for Musculoskeletal Healing shows different remedies for sciatic, etc.
Hypericum seemed a good overall one for nerve compression and pain, Person has no pain.
Separately this person responded very well past year to Carcinosin which after a few 200C doses has cured them of lifelong seasonal allergies to pollen, grass, ragweed, etc. which has compromised their bronchial tubes and may be a reason they are prone to pneumonia, as this is 2nd time in two years they got it. Generally there is noticeable overall improvement in their actions, thinking, energy after taking Carcinosin but I found they don't need it too often and I planned to move them to Carc LM4 to use as needed.

Acute Foot Drop
Hi John,
No, only a few doses of Arnica 200C when the 2nd accident happened.
Recent feedback is that Hypericum 30C water dosing has lessened numbness and pain started to be felt
B6 was also taken.
