I'm not treating this person but I was wondering what would someone give in
this case. A 96 year old woman had a risky valvuloplasty procedure at Mayo In
Minnesota. She is on painkilers and she can hardly swallow. They don't know
why she can't swallow. Non-medical me thought maybe she had a stroke that
affected her swallowing. Anyway, she will be moved back to Minneapolis on
Monday if she makes it to Monday. Aside from the obvious arnica...would carbo
veg be a possibility if she starts to go? It has that throat feels closed
sensation and is supposed to be the great reviver remedy.

Re: close to death question
Carol what are you trying to do for her?
Are you trying to save her life?
Reverse recent symptoms?
Or provide comfort or palliative care?
Often, not always, not being able to swallow is a calcium deficiency - doesn't hurt to check that if other six fit.
Be sure of your focus on what needs to be addressed and go from there. Palliative care is a beautiful thing.
Follow the symptoms it is so worth it.

I am not treating this person. She is far away and I'm sure her daughter
wouldn't try anything in this situation. I'm really asking for if I ever get
to that state...since my dad couldn't swallow in the last two years of his
life....and I want to write a list of remedies for my family to give me if
such and such happens and I'm unconscious or something. I know that sounds
weird but not any weirder than the woman whose mother had alzheimers and she
didn't want to live if she got it and asked doctors and everyone to get her
some poison and finally she got some hemlock and she put it on her mantel with
a note...if you don't know what this is for...take it.
