Whooping Cough Vax to see newborn in CA

A friend's daughter is having a baby in Berkeley, California.
In order to visit the baby in the hospital, it is required that everyone have a whooping cough vaccine.
Don't know if hospital is there or another nearby city, Oakland, San Francisco.
Mother is having a doula assist who has been vaccinated.
Father has been vaccinated.
Mother has been vaccinated during pregnancy!

Is this a CA state law? Optional, the hospital decides?

sounds like the mother of the baby is being affected by the massive propaganda campaign going on over there in CA. i hope she doesn't regret being vaccinated during pregnancy - that is a very dangerous proposition.
