MS...what food to fatten up?
Re: MS...what food to fatten up?
A couple of years ago I brought up a case of friend who has MS brought on from
by extreme stress of husband using drugs. She wouldn't try homeopathy at the
time nor did she go on the blood type diet. I did a healing on her today as
she just divorced the husband and her lung collapsed two days later. Someone
told her to stay away from all dairy and so she doesn't eat real butter or
cheese....and she is now as thin as a rail. Does anyone have an idea of a diet
for MS that will fatten her up or any vitamin therapy that includes typical
needs of an MS patient? I told her to get some real organic butter...she has
been using the fake stuff.

Carol: Sorry to hear about her situation. Hopefully she will recover quickly with the right diet. I don't think there is a particular diet for MS patients, but there are always ways to determine what nutrients she's missing with a full blood panel and a homeopath who can lead her through a nutritional plan that will target her problem areas. I have been a member of the WAPF for about 4 years, and everything that led up to the weight loss, the vinegar ferments (which I am not recommending for her!!!) and the other nutritional information and sources of whole food have all come from the Weston A. Price Foundation. It's a food science source and especially eye opening and powerful for the average (at least American) processed food eater!

Please urge her to contact the local Chapter Leader(s) of the Weston A. Price Foundation and they will help her source healthy food locally. Her attendance at their meetings, pot lucks, conferences and support could really be of help her at this point. She can learn the history of the movement back to traditional foods, sustainable farming, and the local chapters meeting would be a good start. The work they do is incredible, and there are chapters all over the world. In my opinion, she needs the basics: grass fed meats, nuts, veggies and a variety of fermented foods. Real butter... I agree is a necessity.
If I can help her to get started with fermented foods, feel free to give her my e-mail address. -----victoria 2 dc at comcast dot net---- I can connect her to recipes and sites w/videos and support that I started with. It's essential that she populates her gut with FRIENDLY BACTERIA so that the nutritional changes can go to work enhancing her overall health. I've taught several friends to start fermenting simple and powerful foods like beet kvass and sauerkraut (the biggest and best of the power foods) via e-mail and SKYPE!
I hope this helps...

Re: MS...what food to fatten up?
I would suggest adding more healthful fats, particularly organic cold pressed coconut oil, dairy from grass fed, organically raised animals (cows, goats, sheep).
According to authorities such as Joseph Mercola, our diet should be at least 30% healthful fats; he pushes for higher content.
I would also look to increasing the intestinal bacteria with good vegetables (greens and yellows and reds) as well as .
Weston A Price Foundation pushes for high meat content. Not sure I would, but if it works for her body type, she should do that
paying attention to meats coming from Non-GMO, non-hormonal, non-antibiotic raised animals.
Nutritional supplements heavy on those that affect nerve health; i.e., B vitamins, etc.
And relaxation.

Make sure she is not having any hidden aspartame in her diet as this can mimic MS symptoms

She should also explore for food allergies and sensitivities; consider eliminating grains (or start with wheat and/or corn; soy is another very common allergens). Anything she eats every day would be a good candidate to experiment with eliminating for two weeks, and see which ones make a difference.
Any food that is uncomfortable to eliminate ("It's just not breakfast until I've had my…"; (dinner's not over until I have my…" etc.) is probably an addictive allergen.

Hi Carol,
Question: "Does anyone have an idea of a diet
for MS that will fatten her up or any vitamin therapy that includes typical
needs of an MS patient?"

enter MS diet in the search box

My kefir smoothie recipe:
1.5 cup or so of kefir (real, plain yogurt will do)
2 free range eggs
1/4 square of seaweed
dash of raw, pure gelatin
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
All of the strawberries that the kefir can handle and still blend
2 cubic inches more or less of butter melted
stevia or honey to taste
blend
Enjoy

Hi,
There is a Garlic therapy system that I know of. I have seen it before. It had a very good effect on MS patients' appetite.
Take three Garlic clove in the morning on a empty stomach for a month. Then take it down to two Garlic for the second month, and one garlic clove for the third month. Then continue as long as he/she can.

Take 3 garlic cloves? How?
Eat and chew them raw, baked, stewed, in soup?
Herbally garlic and onion are not denatured when cooked, what is that supposed to do as this family is good for bacteria, but not sure about viruses?
MS is a very difficult disorder, so adjunct strategies are excellent.

MS can result from epidurals during deliveries/surgical procedures.....Consider Hypericum.
