I didn't know there was a nest of bees under the lid of my recycling bin and
got stung when I put something in there. I must have put my hand right on one
bee. I frantically was looking for my apis and ledum and took the apis and
still swelling and stinging....and redness moving up my hand. 3 minutes later
took the ledum and pain went away in about a minute...swelling and tenderness
left shortly after that. Then I got stung again 2 days later and I'm looking
again for the remedies and by the time I found them....about a minute
later..the pain had gone..no swelling or redness or tenderness.

I gave apis to someone bitten by a wasp years ago and the pain went away
immediately. I'm guessing that it is true that apis isn't as good for bee
stings..better for wasps..and ledum better for bee stings. But I wonder for
people severely allergic to bee stings...and who are dying on the spot...which
would be better? I wouldn't want to have to make that choice.

My hand had some swelling from yesterday’s attack but that is almost all gone.
My foot itched a bit last nite as did my breast this a.m. But all has pretty much
resolved now without doing anything. I, too, began to think remedies, but am
too lazy to even go get them for myself. Stayed in the garden trying to beat the
rain, having a good time working there and figured time would let me know if
anything needed to be done.

I believe Apis works on the anaphylactic reaction, so that would be my first choice for a wasp sting. I have used it on my dog, and it worked a treat. I was also involved in a chronic case where a dog had been given Benadryl for stings, and subsequently developed many sequelae of anaphylaxis, but without the acute throat swelling. Apis given over time handled all these symptoms, including paralysis, constricted breathing, twitching, restlessness, vertigo… It seemed the Benadryl had simply suppressed the initial reaction; a good lesson.

If the Apis doesn't work, Ledum would be my next choice, too.
I am friends with the wasps. When they come around me when eating outside, I put a morsel off on the edge of my plate, and tell them it's for them. They get it, and my terrified friends are amazed. They are carnivorous, and not attracted to sweet stuff.

It isn't about what 'caused' it, but what symptoms you have.
If your symptoms match apis symptoms you used apis.
If symptoms match another remedy you use that.

A friend got stung by a wasp and the area was turning very red and a pain running up her shoulder all in the time it took me to go to the car and get the remedy- she took the remedy and a few( under 5 minutes) minutes later there was no sign that she had ever been stung- we wondered what might have happened without the Apis...the miracle of Homeopathy...

Yes
Carbolic acid.
For an allergic or anaphylactic reaction and collapse following a bee or wasp sting, with marked swelling and a choking feeling.
The person is usually covered in hives, with a swollen face and tongue.
