Resistant fever

Post by paris »

Hi there. I dabble in homeopathy for my children. Wondering if anyone can give me some guidance for fever- high- with thirst- and cold feet- so concentrated on head /trunk up to feet- being treated for pneumonia...and belladonna not supporting this fever at all. Is there another remedy I can give her? I hate to give Tylenol but this is above 104 for over 12 hours now. Tylenol does take it down as they have a dose in pediatrician a office. This fever is associated with anorexia and thirst body aches and belly pain... Thanks in advance! ~Paris

How fast did the fever come on? And what potencies of bell did you use and how did you dose and what repetition frequency did you use?

My mother was 84 at the time and she had a fever. I gave her 200c belladonna
and the fever went away. The next day it came back and I gave lM belladonna.
It did nothing. I went back to the 200c and it worked and fever went away for
good.

I believe it was Farrington who said Bell often needed to be followed by Calc carb and then back to Bell to initiate the final 'cure'.

Maybe too late for this but do NOT focus on the fever and don't feel you have to lower the fever. Fevers are a positive thing. Treat the whole symptom picture and the fever goes when healing and fever no longer needed. Please please, all, don't feel you need to lower fevers or stop them, even with homeopathy. See my page to get more comfortable with fever http://www.wellwithin1.com/fever.htm

Lowering a fever with a remedy is not different than with a drug - it is suppression.
