Trauma
Re: Trauma
I recently attended an interesting Mangialavori seminar on trauma -- specifically, on the likely background for different remedy families, the triggers, and the somatizations.
Among many, many other things, he mentioned that Calcarea salts are prone to partner up again not long after losing a spouse. It doesn't mean they didn't love the dearly departed; it means they need the security afforded by a partner.
I saw this play out in an old case of mine, where it was obvious the Px needed a Calcarea salt. She was so very bereft after the loss of her spouse. "What did your spouse mean to you?" I asked. The reply was instantaneous: "Home!"
True to form, she remarried very quickly, astounded and delighted that she'd been able to find love again in such short order.
My point is that not all griefs call for Ignatia or Nat-m. or Phos-ac. I'm seeing the same dynamic again in another patient, who also needs a Calcarea salt and whose fairly severe health problems started right after a serious romance went sour.
Peace,
Dale

Re: Trauma
I took a workshop with Mangialavori on the Mints—many years ago. I found him interesting but had a hard time understanding his English
so didn’t get as much out of it as I would have liked.
Agree with you about differentiating etiology of griefs. And that is what I was trying to get at with Narcissism.
