Supplement info needed

Post by Tanya Marquette »

Hello,
Do any of you other health conscious folk know the nutrient brand Doctor’s Best?
A health store carries this brand and sold some to my daughter but I never heard of it.
Am interested in knowing what people think of its efficacy or what you may know of the
brand.

Amazon.com users seem to like them. Just look up Doctor's Best on Amazon, Tanya. They have lots of reviews on there. Not sure which ones you are talking about, but generally they are well liked.

I have used their supplements when the price and availability were right. I have no complaints; they seem to be as advertised.

I like and dislike aspects:

I like that they list ALL the ingredients and do not hide any.
I do not like that they use nasty excipients such as magnesium stearate, in many of their products.
Magnesium stearate is added to make the powder go through machinery more easily, but it does great harm to the thymus gland which we need to stave off chronic disease.

Namaste,
Irene

thanks Irene.

magnesium stearate is in the vast majority of supplements it seems--hard to
get away from it.
will have to see if it is in the Vit D3 my daughter just bought.

Very hard I agree, money talks so loudly.
One manufacturer I use is Thorne Research, the supps I get from them do not have it.
(But I have not checked all their products) . They do have Vit D without it.

my daughter check the label and there is no mag stearate in it so I told to her keep the product.
the only caveat was that the Vit D3 came from sheep lanolin. Of course this does not say what
the sheep were eating!!!!!!!
