Find a practitioner that can give her UVBI (UltraViolet Blood Irradiation) or IV hydrogen peroxide. Transcutaneous and rectal insuflation of ozone can also be effective. Ozone in the wrong hands can be dangerous. If one goes this route be sure that the practitioner knows what they are doing and have appropriate equipment. Most do not but think they do! Hummm sounds a lot like MDs....
Colloidal silver can also be tried but I don't personally put too much faith in it. Worth a try and it is certainly cheap though.

Re: Minutus] MRSA
CS is what came to my mind, particularly as a topical to clean the wound.
When my cats have abscesses I use CS and alternate with Golden Seal root tincture applied topically.
I would also give both internally along with any remedies.
Water can be treated with Oxygen which is often used with success with Aids and other conditions.
It feeds water into the cells much better than standard tap water which may be treated with all kinds of chemicals.
