Re LM dinamisations
Re LM dinamisations
Hi all,
I am Geovani Amaral from Brazil. Happy to have found this forum. By coincidence the question I want to ask is regarding LM potencies.
Here in Brazil, in the small place I reside, what you get in the store when you purchase LM potencies is a bottle with 15~50ml of the remedy in it. Is such presentation normal in your country? No dry globules are available.
Well... I have been using LMs for some time now. But suddenly, a few days ago, a doubt arose in my being. What exactly is there in that bottle??
I have been advising to prepare it in the following way (roughly): take a tea-spoon of the liquid from the bottle, drop it in a quarter-full of glass of water, stir it and take one tea-spoon from the glass. Discard the rest. But this procedure is based in my belief that a globule was dissolved in the bottle of water/alcohol. I could be mistaken!!
Am I being somehow faithful to what Hahnemann recommends??!!
After all he used to start from a dry globule that was dissolved in water...etc....etc...
I asked the pharmacist (I live in a small island in southern Brazil) and he was not sure how those LM bottles where prepared for he just got them ready. He dynamizes only CH potencies.
I wonder if anyone who is familiar with such bottle-presentations could shed some light upon this.
Thanks in advance
Regards

Re: Re LM dinamisations
In the US we get the remedies in either dry pill or liquid form. Different pharmacies carry a variety of
formats. If you have a question about your bottles preparation, call the manufacturing pharmacy itself.
That is what I do whenever there is a question about what I am buying—and that goes for anything that
I am buying, not only in homeopathy

Re: Re LM dinamisations
Hi Lynn. Yes. I just had a talk with the owner of the pharmacy and he confirmed:
What he buys is the globules in a bottle and then he prepares the liquid medicine by adding one globule
to the "take-away-bottle" that is a mixture of 15~50 ml of water and alcohol.
Thanks for the attention and effort.

Re: Re LM dinamisations
Hi Geo,
You can order LM dry granules from Helios Pharmacy in UK. It's actually not that expensive, and they make each order from scratch, they say, so there is a wait time. I just ordered LM13-30 of the antipsoric I'm taking. Helios also says prepared LM dilutions in liquid, not sure how many pillules tney use, their customer service is excellent and they would likely provide the answer if asked by email.
Here's what I've been doing, this is evolving realtime as I see the improvement I'm making. The LMs can vastly move forward cures for chronic diseases.
I am now on LM 11 which I made using 3 pillules in 4 oz. water.
Previous LMs, I used 1 then 2 pillules as per Hahnemann, but 3 seems to be more effective for me. I may try 4 in LM 12.
I succuss 6-8 times with extremely hard banging of the bottle.
I mix ONE teaspoon in 4 oz. water, then take 1 teaspoon from that cup.
I now take ONE teaspoon from 1-3 times per day spaced 8-12 hours apart, stirring the cup about 12 times for the 2nd and 3rd teaspoon.
After 24 hours, throw out and I prepare a new cup.
I have tried variations of mixing ONE tablespoon of LM in a cup as H wrote, and also taking more than a teaspoon at one dose, but have settled on these for now as they work well for my conditions.
These methods are described in Organon 6th ed. Aph 248 and it's footnote 1.
I also take Medh 200C, an antimiasmatic, I prepared using 3 pills 200C in 4 oz water.
That bottle is shaken for each dose, not succussed by banging hard.
I have only taken this once as liquid, one teaspoon, and once before as dry dose 4 200C piills.
It is very deep acting and does not need frequent repetition, and besides its own action, it allows the LM antipsoric to act even better when restarted.
These methods are described in Chronic Diseases.
The LM and 200C potency coexist. I tried switching to an LM Medh instead of LM antipsoric which I was going to do for a period of time but the LM Medh immediately cancelled the LM antispsoric action and I began to decline quickly. Resuming the LM antispsoric daily then repeating the Medh 200C in liquid is now working very well. I may take a Medh 200C dose between each LM change, so after LM 11 is finished, a dose of Medh 200C, then begin LM12.

Re: Re LM dinamisations
Interesting observations, Susan--thanks for sharing.
I'm curious about the combination of anti-psoric main rx plus anti-sycotic (or per Will Taylor, anti-tubercular) nosode. Do you have comments or thoughts about the mismatch in miasm? Just curious!

Thanks Suzan.
You say: “I am now on LM 11 which I made using 3 pillules in 4 oz. water.”
This preparation with just water won’t last long, you know I suppose...

Re: Re LM dinamisations
I think if there is a serius suspition of miasma each one should be dealt with separately.
That..... if you really feel it is important to be concerned with miasmas.
In fact, choosing the apropriate remedy according to the totality of the symptoms should deal with
the miasmas also.

Re: Re LM dinamisations
Are you familiar with the process through which Hahnemann came to his theory of miasms, and also with what is the difference between "miasmatic" prescribing and "regular"?

Hi Shannon. Now that you ask - I want to avoid being a hypocrite (towards myself) – and say that in
fact I studied this aspect quite a long time ago and am assuming to know. Maybe I should go over it again.
Could you recapitulate why a deep and serious assessment of the TOTALITY of the symptoms, including
the period of time and modality involved in each symptom, would not automatically “detect” miasmas?
I mean, as symptoms that are there for a long time should, out of good sense, be regarded as chronic
and dealt with with the corresponding chronic orientated procedures..... well...would not such attitude
deal with the so-called miasmas also?
