A child I am working with has 3 café-au-lait spots that appeared 6 months ago. They look exactly like small birthmarks, except they are new. I have added the rubric: Skin, spots, café-au-lait to his case. But I was wondering if there are deeper rubrics for sudden “birthmarks” or melanin changes. I am also trying to research if this is something we should be concerned about.
