An ethical challenge to combination prescribers [Was: combo meds'; combo rmeds; combo meds]

Post by Soroush Ebrahimi »

You mean that they have not really understood the meaning of DISEASE and its dynamic nature!!

As much as memory serves me, it has been around 15 years that I learned that....... And I cannot quote the aphorisms.
Treating one disease at a time (the "krankheit" in the Organon)

There can be multiple diseases either present at the same time or associating to form a new entity

A stronger disease will make the symptoms of a weaker one disappear until it is removed, then the old symptoms will reappear.
Based (more or less) on that, the argument was that if you can recognise the different diseases, especially if they are present at different levels, you should treat them all.

So you would take one remedy for a physical ailment, another for the one that was present before the actual one appeared, one remedy for a mental/emotional problem and then some teachers crow the thing by giving a "constitutional" remedy and/or a "miasmatic" remedy.
Without digging back in books and notes (if I can find them) that is about what I can say. But note that those are almost the same arguments used by Rudi Verspoor's Heilkunst methodology.......

If they had a proper understanding of the Organon and Nature of disease, the quotes you have sent would not mislead them.
Organon MUST be taken as a TOTALITY, (as when you take a patient's case) and not mis-quote it through mis-understanding.

To me classical suggests old, outdated, steeped in old ways with an iron clad closed mind.

So when you give a rx with no proving what info do you use to prescribe? What is this methodology referred to as? And what is it called when you give a rx with no proving? Pseudopathy? This is the proverbial wanting your cake and eating it to. I practice entirely Classical/ Hahnemeannian Homeopathy, except when I practice something else also...

Classical means TRIED, TESTED, PROVED, BEYOND DOUBT that it is undoubtedly very good but even then fails many times, thus giving all plausible hints that there is much more beyond it that needs to be explored. Yet many like and more so love to be its shackles only and not only this but even love to drag the ones trying to move ahead into the same shackles by all their means.

So Homeopathy fails you many times? Sounds maybe like you are not very good at it. Maybe you should return to the Organon.
And who is holding you back shackling you from "moving ahead"?

Hi Varun!

I have been reading the incredible series that is entitled Predictive Homeopathy (Several books in the series that I purchased from WHN) by a Indian doctor - Dr. Prafull VIJAYAKAR in which he states several times that "It's not Homeopathy that fails, but the Homeopath". Somehow, something important is missing!

A member in our local Homeopathic Studygroup who is coincidentally from India as well recently told me something profound. It's helped me a lot!
He said:

Common Symptoms describe the Condition.
UnCommon Symptoms describe the Remedy.

In the last month, I've used this specifically to help me find the illusive remedy that will cure the case, and it's so true...
If a person has a cold, and they have either a stuffy nose, or a runny nose, inflamation, a cough, etc..... - Are those unusual symptoms for a cold?
No! Those are very typical symptoms for that condition.

What is unusual about their case? Therein, you will find THE correct remedy.

I hope you will find this helpful. It certainly has helped me this past month!

Jennifer, Dr Prafull Vijayakar is amongst revered ones in India and it’s very nice that you are going through his books and I must tell you that I've have gone through them.
All the care and observational aspects also that we hear or read anywhere while choosing a single remedy also work while choosing more than one remedy too and we already do in it choosing remedies for follow ups too. And the same will go for choosing them together at one time. So it's always nice to hear to words of wisdom on choosing remedies as they always help you and many a time a senior practitioner provides you with great nuggets.
