Proving remedies

Post by Helen Tucker »

A friend of mine is taking Nat Sulph for problems with her eyes and back pain. The remedy is alleviating the back pain as well as improving her vision. Her emotional symptoms are few, but they appear to be better as well.

However, she appears to be proving the remedy with a new symptom. She never did this before the Nat Sulph, but now whenever she hears a sad song, she starts crying. Of course, "weeping to music" is one of Nat Sulph's symptoms.

Question: Does this mean Nat Sulph is the wrong remedy and is simply palliating? Or does it suggest she is taking too much?

Thanks,
Helen

It could be an accessory symptom (#163) that will disappear once the cure is complete.
