[H] LACHESIS -- PRECAUTIONS AND SAFE POTENCY

Post by Varun Gupta »

Lachesis will act quite well if the case is such that only Lachesis is required. In case the case is such that you require more remedies with it, then do expect violent response from Lachsis. Look at the case more deeply if it required more remedies and the most expected ones are Lycopodium and Crotalus Cascavella, wherein Lachesis and Lycopodium must be in same potency and Crotalus Cascavella two standard potencies below them. By two standard potencies below what I mean is that taking 6C, 30C, 200C, 1M, 10M, and CM as standard potencies if you give Lachesis in 200C then Crotalus Cascavella should be in 6C.

It can also be that among Lycopodium and Crotalus Cascavella only one is required with Lachesis than both, so look for symptoms properly.

Of course if any other too is required apart from these, you have to take care of that too, symptoms of which may appear later too, so take care of it on follow up. Start from low potencies if the case seems difficult, as in such cases generally more medicines are required and Lachesis then may act violently. So after beginning from low potencies when u get clear of which more medicines are required on follow up, then u can give them together in requisite higher potency as per the case.

Varun, this list is for discussion of homoeopathy. Your recommendation violates homoeopathy's fundamental principle, that of symptom similarity, and so is potentially deceptive for newcomers to the art. Symptom similarity cannot be predicted from any combination of medicines, no matter how well you know the individual medicines involved. Synergistic and "antigistic" effects make the combination not only novel -- meaning that new symptoms will be present and expected ones will be absent -- but also unpredictable. Homoeopathy is the one medicine that is certain, and it is certain and predictable due to its practitioners' sure knowledge of the pathogenetic effects of the medicine being prescribed.

Cheers --

John
