PC MAC HOMEOPATHY
Good Morning all:
I recently went to a MAc computer after several years of just getting
fed up with the PC environment and have literally thousands of files
to transfer from Word Perfect to Word. Is there a way to do this in a
few simple steps or do I have to transfer one at a time as I have been
doing ?
tks bob

Hi Bob, My heart goes out to you! :-O
One of the (many) wonderful things about Macs, is the stellar customer service that comes with them. My first suggestion (unless you've already tried that route) would be to either phone the Help line. (You should have gotten info about that along with your computer? And if I recall right it's included for the first year, and highly recommended to purchase for a longer period.) Very likely they'll be able to tell you what you need, and/or walk you through the process.
If you have a Mac dealership you can walk into (perhaps you bought it from a physical store?), that might be another information source.
Good luck!!

Re: PC MAC HOMEOPATHY
my exact dilemma in switching from pc to mac with word perfect files.
i can save word perfect in word, older version, which newer pcs wont' open anymore.
i have to download microsoft viewer for all .doc files and often have to save everything
in 2 formats--so lots of extra time and computor space. have been wondering about
the coversion to mac without having to buy all new programs.
and what about Radar for PC? don't they make you buy a whole new program for Mac?

Re: PC MAC HOMEOPATHY
You can set up some sort of virtual PC on a MAC to run your RADAR
program. If you search the RADAR site you should find the info. A
friend changed to MAC and she seems to be using her program OK.

I know little about macs but I understand you can set up windows
in its own partition on the later models.

Re: PC MAC HOMEOPATHY
I have an I mac with a virtual pc. I used to have to go start the pc...now,
for whatever reason...the sidebar for the mac is always there with the pc and
i can go back and forth immediately at any time.
