Could someone talk about shingles and surpression? Active psora? Best to
surpress it? Does treating it with homopathy make it stay on skin longer...or
does it go back to hiding? If the immune system is working good....would the
shingles stay surpressed and this would be a good thing?

I can talk about shingles and suppressing it with external creams etc.
I cannot talk about Active psora since I do not treat based on miasms.
Do not suppress it. The correct indicated remedy wipes out the disease and this is NOT suppression.
In 2 of my cases it established a diarrhea, another case ended up with a lot of sneezing and discharge from nose. Invariably all of them felt Better in a general way. In 4of my cases the neuralgia was very bad. THe pain disappeared in 1 - 2 days and the diarrhea ( in one case) and coryza in other started. But the folks were up and about and playing ( in one boy) etc. Treating with homeopathy did not make it stay on skin longer. Strangely enough in one case where the pain started first, they had applied some rubefacient and there the eruptions were huge when they appeared. After Mezereum ( pain < hanging hand I think - worked out with kent) the pain disappeared, the very next day the eruptions every where else subsided except the ones in the areas where the rubefacient had been applied. They were almost the last to subside.
In another case also the intensity of the pain ( excruciating ) decreased but a duller, more tolerable pain stayed on for a few days
Watch out for general concomitants - and for remedies outside of the general "shingles" medicines
prescribe on specific active symptoms, on modalities, on concomitants - and leave it upto the body to decide what to do with it. Do not repeat - do not rush to prescribe on new symptoms or changing symptoms IF the patient feels ok even if there are other new symptoms, stay off...
This is one of my satisfying group of cases, apart from epilepsies - that is one of my "specialties" ...
Mez, Rhus, Ran. scler, Canth, Puls, Sep were some of the medicines I used.
Ran scler has burning like Canth but a little deeper burning ( boring) and had marked periodicity...

Okay. My son has shingles, diagnosed for first time on friday. He feels
internally as well as externally burning and stabbing pains. He was worse last
night sleeping..couldn't sleep, but no other modalities for time. He doesn't
like his clothes to touch the area which is in the stomach area and around the
back. He thinks maybe cold water feels better but he hasn't really tested it.
He is very irritable but he generally is irritable. I told them to get some
lysine in the meantime.
He used to get poison ivy when he was a kid. I know the dr. gave him rhus or
anac depending on whether cold or hot water made him feel better. Whatever it
was it cleared up right away. I don't remember which one it was.
Aside from his ulcer last summer for which he hasn't taken any remedy...two
years ago he had the fllu and stomach pains(he was lying on floor groaning and
i gave him several remedies ..the last one ars...is the one that helped. If
that is helpful. I guess i'm asking for suggestions. the area is red rash and
then there are smaller red pimples inside.

I might have missed some of your postings but even with an apparently physical manifestation, it's important to take a full case and check for causations.
I treated an elderly man a few years ago with a severe case of shingles that came up overnight - diagnosed by the GP who had no real suggestions apart from advice that there might be post-herpetic pain for a long while........ the indicated remedy was Staph primarily for the causation - suppressed anger because of a family situation that could not be resolved. It cleared the situation up within a few days and pain and discomfort went immediately never to return.
I have also used Staph for severe post-herpetic pains after Shingles in a step-mother who was having huge problems with a new teenage step-daughter that she felt she couldn't admonish since she had only just arrived in the family home. She didn't come until the post-herpetic pain was several months old and not resolving at all - two doses of Staph led to a big family 'pow wow' and complete resolution of the pain.

Now she is on drugs for convulsions as she and my family could not be convinced. The neuro, on seeing her progress, has told she can be off the drug in six months. She also has cracks on palms that are deep , painful and sometimes bleeding < washing, esp soap. Has a brown leucorrhea in between menses. Has very sensitive vagina with even touch <<<
Will you take her case ? In case I am not bothering or taking your time, I will request you to take it. I will ask my wife herself to mail to you and answer your questions.

While i'm waiting for more information from my son..the wife told me that the
red welts actually have little white spots all over within the welt and its a
little worse on the left side. What i said about his dr. giving anac or
rhus..i think it was ant cr, not anac. When my son around 20..the last time he
went to the homeopathic doctorr(he is 38,now)., the dr. told me later that
sometimes he just had an intuition about a patient and he prescribed staph for
him. Okay...this is what my son just sent me:
Left side of stomach to inches to left of belly button. Back pain as well
same location, but on the back. I have surface pain where some of the
shingles are located as well as the most chronic pain is in stomach. Seems to
be worse if I am sitting and then lean over towards my legs. Sharp random
pains also occur on spine - mild iching in the same areas; I tool a nerve
pain relever today - seems to help - not a narcotic.
