Hm, that's interesting about the self-identification with Aspberger's. That does kind of make sense... Which brings me of a mind to mention this book I really enjoyed (not homeopathy; by someone with Aspberger's): "Look Me In The Eye", by... I forgot his name, but it should be easily google-able. The writer talks about growing up Aspberger's--in an authentically weird family, IMHO

, as an electrical "savant"--he designed many of the flashy special effects for bands such as KISS, and special effects electric guitars (belching colored smoke etc.) for a "hard rocker" whose name I really should remember... And how he came to *partially* grow beyond it, with musings about the reasons and the trade-offs, and I wish I could do justice to the book; probably somebody's done a good review of it somewhere.

I found it just *really* fun to read, and really, really interesting, a fascinating "inside view, with retrospective" on Aspberger's--at least one very bright and thoughtful guy's experience of it.
Okay, I had to throw that out...

Well, it will be interesting to hear if you get any feedback from that group--I won't hold my breath for the positives, as the lines seem to be pretty well drawn, but who knows...
