Thanks!

She has been busy lecturing on it and told me she just didn't have
time yet to do that

PS, someone pointed out I should have mentioned Fran's website.
It's www.homeopathyplus.com.au . Parts 1 and 2 of her Autism article are great, and there's lots of other terrific information there. (Some not classical.)

Hi Shannon,

Just a comment on this ...

I MUST write the third part of the article - it keeps being postponed but I must set a target of having it done in the next couple of months. I am hanging my head in shame.

If your 'some of it not classical' statement is referring to information about complexes - as someone has asked me - please let me make my position clear:
1. Any practitioner who chooses to treat by complexes either lacks the ability to prescribe homeopathically, or has no qualms about offering sub-standard and simplistic work to those seeking their help. They also have rocks in their head as they are automatically making their job much harder than easier. The urge for practitioners to prescribe by complexes is very allopathic in thinking.
2. Consumers choosing to use complexes will not damage their health or suppress their complaints - unless they are really persistent and really stupid (and such a person is likely to do the same with a single remedy).
3. Complexes are not as good as a prescription of the most similiar remedy, but neither are they the devil's work.
4. Everyone, consumer and practitioner, has the right to accurate information about complexes which in turn will stop misuse, widely inflated claims, or scare-mongering.

At a consumer level, complexes are here to stay and so should be put in their correct place. We need to communicate information about palliation, suppression, and healing so people can choose with full knowledge and understanding what they want to do with their symptoms at that particular time.

The single remedy and its curative effect is always ideal but not always possible - people still have the right to knowingly suppress or palliate their symptoms by their own hand if they understand what they are doing and the risks involved.

As for the term classical, it is meaningless these days as every man and their dog likes to claim the 'classical' label no matter how they practice.

The practice of Homeopathy (as we've discussed endlessly before) is the attempt to prescribe the most similar remedy in the smallest dose necessary to cancel out disease and achieve a restorative response.

Any improvement achieved by a complex is homeopathy by a 'fingers crossed' approach and may be merely palliative. On the other hand, single remedy prescriptions for simple acutes by many practitioners are also often only palliative but this is ok if this is all the patient (and practitioner) are seeking at that time in the knowledge that this may be all that is happening.

You did this on purpose, Shannon! =-O
