Coccyx injury- update

Injury caused by falling down the stairs to get the babies bottle at 3 in the morning!!
Sharp shooting pain sometimes with nausea.
standing still , < getting up from sitting. She can lie down but after a bit has to move.
She stopped breast feeding before the fall because baby wasn't latching on. She tried to express milk but there didn't seem to be enough.
The first few weeks after the birth she couldn't cope with the baby crying. It made her cry and she was very emotional. She thought the baby crying was her fault. Partner had to look after and change the baby. Baby is 7 weeks old and she is fine now. She doesn't think she has healed up properly. She says there is a flap of skin which is irritating her and an extra hole!! She had a lot of stitches because she tore badly. She can't examine herself because of the back. She is having her post natal exam on Wednesday.
Basically - she is spoiling this baby. She doesn't leave her alone and is constantly rubbing it's back and cuddling her. The baby is obviously more important than her back despite her obvious pain. The baby is feeding every 2 hours and stools are dark green so I have suggested that she ups the feed to what is suggested for an 8 week baby. The baby is straining to pass a stool and is whimpering about it all day she passes a stool in the evening despite the straining all day. The redness around the eyes has now gone since the Calc 30 and baby is sleeping better. The cradle cap is better in that it is not red underneath. The crusts are till there and also on the eyebrows.
Ok that's it - I have another baby coming in , in 5 mins!!

Hey now, at 7 weeks a baby *needs and deserves* to be "spoiled"!!!!!!!!!
Remember in much of the world, and for the vast bulk of humanity's history, a baby of this age--and up to perhaps a couple of years old or more--would be "worn" on the mother, carried *constantly*. *That* is what a baby's genetic programming is geared for! And yeah, that becomes awfully tough when the main caretaker is injured...

Do you know what the baby's being fed? Anything besides formula?

So I gather that's a good one?
Dark green stools is a nice small rubric... Stool; GREEN; DARK (DARK, BLACK)(p, 8, 0) (8) : ars., bac., coloc., crot-h., lach., Merc., Merc-c., tax.
It may be that the mother's (what you are seeing as perhaps) undue attentions may be in response to the baby's needs. (My observation, made also by others, is that baby's behavior and emotional state often shapes *mother's*, not just the other way around as some people have liked to emphasize.) Does the baby seem any more needy, fearful, or etc., than "the average baby"? Or anything else that might indicate any of the nice, tidy group above? (Had to ask...)

Baby seems fine. Mum and dad both said clingy but I disagree because the baby came to me and stayed with me with no objection. I think the pair of them just won't put the baby down and the baby might appreciate having some time to itself!! They are making a rod for their backs. Both parents are early 20's which is young these days!!!
I don't know anything about milk formulas as never used them with my kids!!
I just remember that green stools meant baby was undernourished and this baby is demanding food every 2 hours !!! Apparently you add more formula to the bottle as it gets older so maybe baby needs it now and it may go for longer without being fed. It is 7 weeks old. Can't think of any reason to give any of those Rx to the baby at this moment. Baby is more Calc like but with experience I have found a dose of Nux often stops the straining for stool. I gave 1 dose of Nux but might well go up to Calc 200 if it isn't sorted.
Would like to get Mum comfortable. Will see what Doctor says on Wednesday. Incidentally when this woman was a teenager it was Verat which did the best for her when I used to treat her for menses pain, but her personality is completely different now!!!
