Can I request that that this endless nitpicking, bitching and personal attacks cease? Please simply agree to differ now, as its obvious that the whole argument in this issue has LONG AGO REACHED STALEMATE. What once were valid points have now lost their impact and been done to death and disappeared into the ether, along with brevity.

THIS continuing repetition has not only become tedious in the extreme, but also is obscuring other far more pressing issues for which forum members require some sound and practical advice. Instead we are being subjected to the same old egos airing the same old points, over and over again, at enormous length.

I'm sure that I'm not alone in being thoroughly fed up with having to plough through each digest in order to glean a few lines that actually make it worthwhile being a member of this group.

You can request it, yes. Will it happen? I hope not. If you are so terribly burdened by the peer review that is the primary mode for communicating within the scientific fields, then perhaps you should be involved in a line of work or endeavour that is more palatable to you. If it's too hot in the kitchen.....
