I do it this way as well. Sometimes pellets in the vial are a bit stuck together, shaking the vial (closed) gently seems to help with that. Sometimes a few extra fall out so I just eat those (no, no, just kidding...)

I try never to prepare remedies while the px is sitting there... you really need nerves of steel for that.

I use two grains occasionally if I'm preparing a bottle of the same potency but don't want to go up in potency. This happens most when I'm working with 30C and don't want to go up to 200C - with LM it happened recently because someone lost a bottle, and there's no reason to raise the LM yet.

Technically if I prepare the same potency I need to success the bottle roughly the equivalent of the total amount of succussions the remedy would have received during the previous dosing, to bring it up to slightly higher than the previous remedy the px was using. I've seen mild aggravation when this wasn't done.

I try to "sidestep" the issue by putting two grains instead of one. If anyone has any other suggestions how to work this I'd be interested to hear.
