Hives

Speaking of crawling under a rock for suggesting remedies others might not want to hear, my horrendous bouts of hives with itching on virtually every bit of skin on my body, were cured by .... Opium. Later on, a few years later, when there was a smaller return of the hives, Staph. Big picture - a huge amount of suppressed rage from years of multiple mistreatment. Well yes, suppressed chicken pox or rubella might have been there. But the rage was prominent. From time to time, I still need to boost with a bit of Staph. This is about 5 years later from the initial Opium that convinced me of the efficacy of homoepathy.

What an interesting account- so thanks for that.
When this child had chicken pox in 05 I have in my notes that Mum gave her 1 Aconite and 1 Pulsatilla as she coped with it well.
Suppression in this child's case has been with homeopathic remedies. Mum did my homeopathic 8 week course before this child was born and if I remember rightly brought her to me at 6 weeks old when I gave her 1 dose of Nux Vom and strict instructions to stop dosing this child with remedies she thought she needed!! Later on in her life I told mum to stop giving her Arnica with every fall and bruise and gave her a bottle of sac lac to give the child who was now asking for Arnica!! Believe me whatever mum gives her now is nothing next to what she was giving her. This is a typical case of a little knowledge could do harm! Mum uses Miranda Castro's book to rep and most of the time now does a reasonable job although I do wish she would bring the kids to me before she starts dosing rather than when she has tried remedies and failed!!! I don't think she gets away with it with the older brother. He tells his mum when he wants to see me!! Mum does have her own problems , naturally, and I am in the process of trying to get her to come in for a consultation again as it has been a few years since remedies (Chocolate if I remember correctly) got her out of a very bad patch of depression.

Why might not want to hear! That sounds wonderful!!
I *think* opium's issues are different in focus than staphysagria's, but sounds like it was the "doorway" remedy for you, dealt with what needed to be handled *first*, before moving on to the deeper and older (yet also less severe and more expressed) state of Staph. Congratulations!

Sounds like a candidate for learning to do EFT with her kids--would she be game?

Absolutely - I had the child doing EFT on the itching and copying the correct places from my Tappy bear which is a teddy bear on which I have sown red buttons on the tapping points.
Both kids have been using it for years and Mum told me last year that her son had come home saying that someone had taught the class tapping to help anxiety from the up coming exams!!! It turned out to be the school nurse!!

What potency did you give? Mum will have given 30C. She did try it twice with no obvious results. However this child is obviously not ill other than sleeping more than usual. She is her usual hyper self!!

Thanks - again not a Rx I know of but have now looked it up. There are the Elevated red blotches but no constipation or diarrhoea. The mentals would be entirely wrong.

I meant to ask Rochelle, is this an acute or a chronic case. Makes me ask with the herpes, nose bleeds returning as well as this skin eruption or is there a time gap long enough to separate them out?

Personally I would say it is an acute of 2 weeks duration. The child is her normal self other than this. I look forward to finding out tomorrow if the Urtica U has helped over the weekend while they have been away. If not I will have to do some more thinking.
Mum gets cold sores and passes them on !!!
