I don't think this documentation means anything. It is simply a good
feeling thing to say
to suck people into trusting the UN. WHO is a lead agency that oversees
Codex. Codex
is signed onto by world nations and it becomes binding as in a treaty. If
you follow the
actions of nations, not the feel good pap of the UN, you will see all too
clearly how Codex
is being implemented step by step but at an increasing galloping rate. The
DSHEA regs
have got to go in the USA. They allow freedom of health choice for the
population which
sees this access as an entitlement. People don't/won't look at the Codex
language and match
that up with new legislation and regulations from the FDA, USDA and
congress itself.

In England the attack against homeopathy seems to be the primary attack on
health freedom
access and holistic healing. In the USA the attacks are getting more
virulent on vitamins and
nutrition. These are the modalities that seem to capture most of the
publics thinking and thus
have the greatest impact. So the strategy is to attack the public's trust
in these practices and
little by little legislate them more heavily until they are done away with
or so controlled and
limited that they become inaccessible in a major way. NYS just made
homeopathy illegal and
no one is talking about this, even on the homepathy discussion lists. We
will deserve what we
get because we become part of the problem.

And do not be misled. What the Codex says is binding. It clearly states
that GMO's are to
be promoted, antibiotics and hormones to be required on farm animals; no to
organic foods
and agriculture. Watch the regs that come down. Watch who gets appointed
to political
positions. Look who Obama is putting into offices of power. All the right
wing libertarians
that destroyed the public's economy and wealth. Monsanto's people are
heading the
agricultural agencies. Michelle can do her little organic garden on the
toxic white house lawn,
but for the public GMOs are what we are getting. The UN writes about
diabetes and obesity,
but doesn't question, much less attack HFCS. It supports the exportation
from the USA of
all its defective food stuffs for babies and denatured rice and white flour
products. The UN
has even been known to acknowledge the benefits of organic agriculture over
GM seeds. But
what it does is another story.

It's like people say: Watch what they do, not (always) what they say!

Well, I don't trust the UN as a whole one bit. I'm completely on your
side on this. I was just pointing out two different opposing positions
coming from the same mouth. However, maybe there is obvioulsy a group at
the U.N who really want to highlight the issue of diet in health. I was
very surprised to see this stated so clearly. Maybe the diet and
nutrition people are a renegade group, for all I know. It does happen.

Not me, I make regular visits to my M.P armed with very good clinical
studies and let her know that something is amiss. She doesn't trust the
drug companies nor the food companies as far as she can throw them
either. I sought her out recently when I got news that the MMR would be
made compulsory. I argued the rationale behind this propsed legislation
purely on statistical grounds. I don't know exactly what happened behind
the scenes but several days later, a press release came out stating that
the government had changed it's view and that the MMR would remain a
voluntary decision. Democracy won the day on this issue......thank goodness.

So I am am actively doing something about all this....and I would
encourage everyone to seek out their politicians and go to them with
studies, (I know there are some good ones on homeopathy ) and really
drive the point home to them. It can sometimes bring the desired results.

Not quite. My understanding is that homeopathy was in a state of limbo legally for decades. A few years ago
I talked with a lawyer and was informed that as long as there was no real status for homeopathy I was in a safer
position than if they passed any licensing or legislation regarding its practice.

legal status. The fight was betw those who wanted a registration bill vs direct licensing. However, the homeopathic

to get the details, but my understanding is that the naturopaths engineered this legislation. I just haven't had the
time to research it more carefully--really should do that.
But the bottom line now, as I have been given to understand, is that we are now officially illegal in NYS. Don't know
if this is an across the board ruling or for example only applies to lay practitioners, of which most of us are.

Illegal in what way? You mean even if one does the careful dance to not "practice medicine without a license," defers to the medical doctors, does not "diagnose" any "disease", etc.? ???

but understanding is that it would be illegal for me to consult and suggest a remedy to another.
