Minutus Exchanges
Re: Minutus Exchanges
Minutus advertises itself as a Hahnemannian list. Clear for all to see.

I don't think many, if any, are proposing that non-homeopathic things should not be discussed (within reason) on the list.
I think what is wanted - at least by me - is that non-homeopathic practises should not be spoken of as homeopathy, and that if people draw attention to this error that a struggle for redefining homeopathy does not ensue.

We've been over this.
The issue is *focus*, not exclusion of all else.
As you know, because we've asked and been told it several times.

Re: Minutus Exchanges
Are you defining homeopathy as "what Hahnemann says he did"?
And excluding Hahnemann's definition of "law of similars" which he
repeatedly references in the Introduction?

Pardon me if I have don't respond correctly as I am still trying to work my way back through past emails to see what has been discussed - there have been so many!
I think I saw some in which there was a discussion about the homeopathic effect of things other than potentised remedies? If this is what your question is about, it is all fine and acceptable with me. I am fully happy about anything being used homeopathically - this is why self-help groups can be so helpful.

Homeopathy Open is co owned by me and Dr Tam. Dr Tam has a set of notions that makes Homeopathy Open moderated for the most part and quite pleasant but I think people do not like moderation .
Beyond Homeopathy is a safe haven for all homeopaths of all understandings . Anybody is free to express even un classical methods .It is unmoderated except I also keep out spam. Unfortunately , I am the one who decides who gets banned from my list in order to keep it a safe haven. I apologise for being a despot !

Re: Minutus Exchanges
I used the word "exasperated", not disrespecting....And search the archives to find out why David spends no time here any more. Sometimes it was gratitude sometimes something else. He was/is exasperated for exactly the same reasons that Fran has expounded on.
And by the way, "THIS" list IS a Classical/Hahnemannian site. So please do not imply that those of us who gain from the status quo and boring, old, basic and static Homeopathy should find another forum. I find this assertion nothing short of ridiculous. And yes I am offended to the point of quitting.......................................................just kidding, well about quitting that is.
Best regards, Rik

Yep, good luck!
I was quoting from Intro to the Organon, re "definition." Different

Do you (I'm not trying to challenge, just trying to see which angle
you're coming from) exclude complexes from the realm of "homeopathy",
and is that part of the "inclusion" you're troubled by? (I proposed my
long-time understanding of the reason why they have been considered
"homeopathy" even tho not what one could call *quality* homeopathy, and
certainly not aimed at long-term cure), that being that *when* they
work, it is on basis of homeopathic correspondence of at least one of
the ingredients. Is this part of the argument you've found disturbing?

Re: Minutus Exchanges
I recall him writing to me with regards to some dates about the first 3 ed. of the Organon that I was incorrect about. The years were right but the months were wrong and he let me know in a way that felt haughty, sounded condescending and made me feel little....... for a moment. And then I did my research again and thanked him for pointing out my errors. It mad me a better homeopath. Awe yes. Brilliant yes. Hard nosed and belittling you bet. That was Julian. Many of us gave him a wide berth because he knew his stuff. And who remembers some of his more vocal arguments with regards to Kentian posology?
With all of the well wishers and peaceful political correctness on this list, I wish he was still here to give some on the list a measured dose of what real vitriol is/was.
I'm off to the pub to have a chat with him now, Rik
