Hypertension & Hypothyroidism

Post by rimurugan »

Hello,
I am a new member.

I have hypertension and hypothyroididsm for a long time.
I take Atacand(Beta Bolcker)& Atanolol for blood pressure and Synthroid for hypothyroidism.
On the advice of a friend I have started to take a heopathy remedy called Glonoinum, potency 1M, twice a day, 3 palettes each.It has brought the BP down to 120/70 which was 140/85 with Atacand & Atanolol alone.
Can anyone advice as to how long I should take Glonoinum and gradually discontinue Atacand/Atanolol?
Any suggestion/advice on hypothyroidism as well?
Thank all of you in advance.
Murugan

Hello,

In my opinion you should immediately cease using any homeopathy unless prescribed by a professional homeopath who is able & willing to communicate with your pharmaceutical drug provider.

This is not a "first aid" case which might be suited to advice of "friend"

I am not a pharmaceutical provider, but I'm aware that "beta blockers" in general have fallen into disfavor even amongst those drug prescribers.

It is entirely likely that you'll be able to discontinue pharmaceutical drugs in cooperation with a professional homeopath (& hopefully your pharmaceutical drug provider)

It is equally possible that you may worsen your situation ... anywhere from minor to extremely exacerbated health challenge .. by attempting all of this on recommendations of "a friend" ---

Those blood pressure drugs suggest you have a cardiovascular condition and may have had a heart attack and/or abnormal stress test or blockage. There are professional homeopaths here who hopefully can provide you with some ideas why it may not be a good idea to continue multiple 1M doses daily for long periods even with improved blood pressure. I've taken Synthroid and Armour thyroid for many years based on subclinical indications like basal body temps. Thyroid diagnosis, unless obviously apparent on blood tests, can be tricky to diagnose. When I started Byetta, a newer diabetes drug derived from the saliva of a heliomonster lizard, the need for synthroid disappeared quickly and hasn't returned. That may be due to the regulating function this lizard's saliva seems to have.

Recently, a 78 year old family friend was about to have a pacemaker put in when a substitute MD thought thyroid deficiency might be the issue. Upon starting Synthroid, the heart issues have abated. This, an example, how subtle thyroid deficiencies can be masked and misdiagnosed as other issues

I wonder if that's the same as Gila (pronounced "heela") monster?
That's Heloderma...?

yes. Byetta is a pharmaceutical drug
http://diabetes.webmd.com/news/20050429 ... r-diabetes

It's rather disingenuous to refer to it as being derive from lizard "spit" .. as this is the vehicle of the lizard's (Gila Monster) envenomation.

It is also interesting from the angle of a pharmaceutical drug which may've been modeled on the fact of the homeopathic remedy.
