Re: Stools rubric
STOOL in this case, is just a Chapter heading to describe what comes out of the rectum --- and you will find on looking at its contents that there, other matter other than foeces is described.
When you have a query like that, If you go to the materia medica you will find quite a few references to ‘stool without fecal matter’ and there you will find your answer.
This helps you to understand the repertory meanings.
So, not all ‘stools’ are fecal.
Eg., some are:
orange-yellow slimy fluid, mingled with many bright yellow flakes, without any faeces,
albuminous
corrosive mucus
dark blood
clots etc......
to name but a few
Repertories are thus more conceptual than they are literal.
