Crataegus - was crategeous

I use Hawthorn *Berry* herb caps (1.05g in 2 caps) for high BP.
(Hawthorn=Crataegus oxycantha)
Tincture is also good but herbs are easier to find in USA.
So I use the herb caps; I JUST STARTED:

Took 16 days (so far) to get BP of 184/102 down to 152/86 today - to give
you a rate of expected progress. I have a way to go.
I also take Vit E, Co-Q-10, and fish oil and eat an anti-inflammatory diet
in general.
And of course NO aspirin type stuff.

I needed to do this in 2001 as well when I had a BP issue then. I was
much worse then, starting with systolic well over 200 and quite a lot of
heart damage - I needed the herb then for almost 6 months, then tapered it
off when my heart went back to normal size and the pressure came down.
Depending on causes (mine is cortisol) you might benefit from homeopathy
as well of course - a simillimum I mean.

How much hawthorn-berry herb, in capsules, to use, is individual:
In 2001, I started with 2 caps twice a day and worked up slowly to 4 caps
twice a day - then later when BP was getting low, I tapered off slowly.
I'm following the same kind of approach now. [I found it at 184 systolic
just 2 weeks back, a surprise but I should have been monitoring it. Don't
fall into the same trap. If you get it down and the cause is still there,
keep tabs!]

It is also a lot easier to take Crataegus in the Gemmotherapic form, either concentrate or 1X, and eventually cost less.
